Will the Reds continue their winning streak in Kraichgau?

TSG Hoffenheim has gotten off to a good start with six out of a possible nine points and has already scored seven goals, but has also conceded six. And now, of all times, the in-form champions from Munich are coming to Kraichgau. FC Bayern recently confirmed their strong early form in the Bundesliga with a 3-1 home win over Chelsea FC in the Champions League. Accordingly, the tip for Hoffenheim vs. Bayern is that the Reds can now win their seventh competitive game of the 2025/26 season.

The statistics also speak for themselves. Not only have the Munich team won 23 of their 35 previous matches against TSG, but they also took all six points against the Blue and Whites last season with an impressive 9-0 goal difference. The FCB did not have such a strong record against any other Bundesliga team in 2024/25, especially since they also won their last away game in Kraichgau 4-0. Nevertheless, there is a certain residual risk associated with an away win for the Reds, which is why we prefer to predict a high-scoring match when Hoffenheim face Bayern.

Provided, of course, that the opponent allows it, which is likely to be the case with TSG Hoffenheim. After all, Ilzer’s offensively minded team has already conceded six goals, making them the Bundesliga team that has had to fish the ball out of their own net the most often (46 times) in the 2025 calendar year.

We therefore expect a high-scoring match and also expect at least two goals to be scored in the first half. The odds for this are 1.93 for Hoffenheim vs. Bayern, which we found in the handy Betano app.

Hoffenheim vs. Bayern prediction AI

Supercomputer BETSiE also sees the currently unbeatable club from the Isar in Kraichgau as having a clear advantage, as evidenced by the fact that the AI prediction for Hoffenheim vs. Bayern gives a 68.9 percent probability of an away win. Nevertheless, according to the AI’s assessment, it could be a close game in Sinsheim, because with an expected goals value of 2.22 for Munich and 0.9 for Hoffenheim, BETSiE expects a difference of -1.32 in the goal difference in favor of the Reds.

This makes it more likely that FCB will win by a maximum of one goal than that there will be a clear victory. From an AI perspective, it is therefore very interesting to apply a handicap of +2 to TSG, which also covers other possible outcomes. BETSiE rates the probability of this tip, which can be played via the practical ODDSET app at odds of 1.87 for Hoffenheim against Bayern, at 54.3 percent, which is sufficient for a positive expected value.

Hoffenheim – Statistics & current form

Looking back hurts: In the past Bundesliga season, TSG lost both matches against FC Bayern Munich without scoring a goal and conceding a total of nine goals – Hoffenheim has never performed so poorly against an opponent in a Bundesliga season. However, their current form sends mixed signals. Two wins from the last three Bundesliga games (one defeat) are as many as in the previous twelve games combined.

At the same time, however, the home misery continues. Only one win in the last twelve home games has been recorded (five draws, six defeats). The 1-3 defeat to Eintracht Frankfurt marked the third home defeat in a row. If Hoffenheim’s tip for a fourth home defeat in a row against Bayern comes true, it would set a new negative record for the club.

Asllani and Kramaric as levers against Bayern’s stability?

Defensively, the task is clear: in 2025, Hoffenheim conceded the most goals in the Bundesliga (46) and kept the fewest clean sheets (only two) among the teams that remained in the top flight throughout the season. Offensively, however, there are reasons for optimism. Fisnik Asllani recently scored his first brace for TSG. It was already his sixth league brace since the start of last season (five for Elversberg, one for Hoffenheim) – in the three German professional leagues, only Harry Kane (eight) has surpassed this.

Then there is Andrej Kramaric, who has scored the most goals against Bayern (eight) of any active Bundesliga player and, with 127 Bundesliga goals, has now caught up with Vedad Ibisevic in fourth place among foreign record goalscorers. Oliver Baumann will also face Manuel Neuer for the 26th time in the Bundesliga, so there is plenty of experience in direct duels.

Bayern – Statistics & current form

The champions have recently sent a clear message: in the last Bundesliga season, Bayern won both games against Hoffenheim with a total score of 9-0 – no other team felt the dominance of the Reds so clearly in 2024/25. The start of the season underlines this trend: for the fourth time in a row, they have three wins after three matchdays. No other club has achieved this so often in a row before.

With 14 goals after three games, Munich also surpassed their own best record from 2022/23 (15). Away from home, Bayern have been unbeaten in ten Bundesliga games (seven wins, three draws) since losing 2-1 in Mainz in December 2024 and have scored at least three goals in their last five away games in a row – a Bundesliga record. Accordingly, the odds for Kompany’s team to score three goals against Bayern are interesting. Betano is offering odds of 1.85 for this.

Luis Díaz delivers right away

The balance is right: in 2025, Bayern conceded the fewest goals in the league (21), excluding the two promoted teams, and set the top mark with eleven clean sheets. This stability is complemented by an offense in top form. Luis Díaz had no trouble getting started, scoring in his first three Bundesliga games for the German record champions (a club record). Now he can add to that tally in his fourth game.

Meanwhile, Harry Kane was directly involved in eight goals in the first three matchdays (five goals, three assists) – a new record since data collection began in 2004/05. The Brit has recently contributed to at least two goals in four consecutive Bundesliga games. The vulnerable TSG defense is therefore facing a lot of firepower…

Hoffenheim – Bayern Head-to-head record

Head to head: 5 – 7 – 23

A total of 35 competitive matches have been played between the two clubs so far, with FC Bayern Munich leading the head-to-head record very clearly with 23 wins. Last season, the record champions took all six points against TSG Hoffenheim with a 9–0 win and also celebrated a convincing 4–0 away win in their last visit to Kraichgau. Despite this clear dominance, TSG has “only” lost two of its last five Bundesliga home games against FCB (two wins, one draw).

Hoffenheim – Bayern Tip

The betting odds from the top bookmakers are clearly and unambiguously in favor of Munich, who have won all of their first six competitive games of the 2025/26 season. While the nine-point start in the Bundesliga was probably just as obligatory as advancing in the DFB Cup, at least the victory in the Super Cup and the 3-1 win over Club World Cup champions Chelsea in the opening game of the Champions League group stage were definitely the first small exclamation marks. Nevertheless, TSG should not be underestimated. Although they are still too vulnerable defensively in the new season, they have managed to compensate for this with seven goals scored in the first three matchdays.

Since we would not categorically rule out a point for Sinsheim, who have lost “only” two of their last five home games against FCB (two wins, one draw), we recommend betting on a high-scoring league game when Hoffenheim face Bayern. The tip that at least two goals will be scored in the first half is very popular.
