Will Espírito Santo bring a breath of fresh air to the Hammers?
Monday night’s Premier League game is all about the managers. On the one hand, all eyes are on Everton coach David Moyes, who now faces his former club and has ensured that the Toffees have lost only two of twelve Premier League home games (four wins, six draws) since his return to the Blues. On the other hand, the coaching merry-go-round in the United Kingdom has continued to turn. At the Hammers, Graham Potter had to pack his bags two days before the away game on the Mersey. Nuno Espírito Santo will now take his place on the bench for the first time. This raises the interesting question of whether this change of coach at Everton against West Ham will have a decisive influence on the outcome.
One thing is clear: things can only get better for the visitors from London. With only three points out of a possible 15, the Irons are in a direct relegation spot. Added to this is their early exit from the EFL Cup. They have already conceded a whopping 16 goals in six competitive games in the 2025/26 season. The Hammers’ only win came away at Nottingham Forest (3-0), which, curiously, cost new coach Nuno Espírito Santo his old job in the East Midlands. Although the new coach has little time to show the team his footballing ideas, we still believe he will have an impact. We therefore recommend betting on the double chance X2.
There are two other statistics that suggest West Ham United can pick up points away at Everton FC. Firstly, the Blues have won only one of their last five Premier League home games against the Hammers (one draw, three defeats). Secondly, despite their recent failures, the Londoners have won three of their last four Premier League away games (one defeat).
Those who still don’t want to rule out a home win for the Blues can alternatively bet on under 2.5 goals, as a goal fest at Hill Dickinson Stadium is unlikely given the two clubs’ defensive mindset. Interwetten offers odds of 1.85 for a maximum of two goals in Everton vs. West Ham.
Everton – West Ham Head-to-head record / H2H record
Head to head: 75 – 33 – 45
A total of 153 matches have been played between the two teams so far, with Everton FC winning almost exactly half of them (75). Recently, however, the Blues have struggled against West Ham United. The Toffees have won only one of their last five Premier League home games against the Hammers (one draw, three defeats). Last season, both the first leg in London (0-0) and the return leg in Liverpool (1-1) ended in draws.

Everton – West Ham Tip
The top bookmakers’ betting odds for Everton vs. West Ham are leaning a little too heavily toward the Blues, who have lost only two of twelve Premier League home games since David Moyes’ return (four wins, six draws), but have lost three of their last five home games in the top flight of English soccer against the Irons (one win, one draw). The Toffees have also been waiting for another win for three competitive games (one draw, two defeats) and have scored only one goal in that period. So the Blues are not going into this game in particularly good form either.
When predicting Everton vs. West Ham, the change of manager at the visitors must also be taken into account, as they come to the Mersey as something of a colorful surprise package. Even before the change of manager, however, the Hammers were performing better away than at home, as evidenced by three wins from their last four Premier League away games (one defeat).
We therefore find a lot of value in betting on the Londoners to win and recommend the double chance X2, which we are playing at Bet-at-home at odds of 2.15 with three out of ten units.
