Will the Jaguars also impress in the playoffs?
AFC East – Wild Card Round and the Jaguars are playing the Bills. So far, so good. But no one would have thought that it would be the Jags enjoying home advantage here. So we start our Jaguars vs. Bills tip with the tables turned.
Jacksonville and their new head coach Liam Cohen have managed to go from a 4-13 record last year to a 13-4 record this season. Not only did they outperform the Bills (12-5), but they also won the AFC South ahead of the Houston Texans.
That means home-field advantage in the wild card round. However, they would probably have preferred any other team than the Buffalo Bills. They were completely outclassed by the Bills in their last meeting in 2024, losing 10-47, and with Josh Allen, the Bills will also have the best player on the field – often decisive in the postseason.
That’s why Jacksonville needs to focus on the things that made them strong in the regular season: the best run defense (only 85.6 yards per game) and the third-best turnover ratio (+13). But as soon as they start thinking too much, it could be over. So our prediction for Jaguars vs. Bills is also an away win for Buffalo.
Kickoff for the Wild Card round game is on Sunday at 7:00 p.m. in Jacksonville. The game can be watched live on RTL and DAZN.
In addition to tips on the Bills, player bets are also possible in our top tips. Here we focus on the Bills’ go-to guy James Cook, who scored 14 touchdowns in 17 games this season. He also led the NFL in rushing yards (1621).
Jacksonville Jaguars – Buffalo Bills Head-to-head comparison / H2H record
The head-to-head comparison between these two teams is very curious. We have already mentioned the last matchup, which went very clearly to the Bills with a score of 47-10. Before that, however, the Jaguars managed to pull off two surprise wins.
When it comes to total points, things get even more confusing. The last meeting saw 57 points scored, but within the last five matchups there have also been two extremely low-scoring games with only 13 and 15 total points respectively. We would refrain from making any predictions for Sunday, as anything could happen in this matchup.
However, the odds on Buffalo are definitely worth a look for Jaguars vs. Bills. For the first time in several years, they are actually considered slight underdogs (odds are currently fluctuating). However, we see good value in Bills tips at anything over 1.80, as we have them ahead due to their playoff experience.
Jacksonville Jaguars – Buffalo Bills Tip
The Jaguars forced 31 turnovers in the regular season. This statistic clearly favors Jacksonville, but they also had one of the easiest schedules of the year. Twice against the Titans, Raiders, Cardinals, Jets – all teams against whom they should have won the turnover battle.
Their losses came against the Bengals, Seahawks, and Rams – teams that are more comparable to the Bills. Therefore, our slightly favored option for Jaguars vs. Bills is a tip on Buffalo. We would not be surprised if they were back in top form just in time for the start of the playoffs.
In addition to the aforementioned player bet on Cook, there is another bet that we consider interesting: a tip on a longer field goal (over 49.5 yards). In the last Jags game, their kicker Cam Little even scored from 67 yards, and they will certainly send him onto the field even if the distance is over 50 yards.
