Will City keep pace with the leaders?

After a late 2-1 win against rivals Liverpool, Manchester City continue to consolidate second place and maintain a six-point gap behind leaders Arsenal. They currently have 50 points in the table, while Fulham are in tenth place with 34 points. The Cottagers, on the other hand, suffered a 2-1 defeat to Everton at the weekend.

The Sky Blues are extremely strong at home, winning the first half of their last ten competitive games at home without conceding a goal. Our Manchester City vs. Fulham tip is therefore once again for a home win in the first half.

Manchester City go into this match with an impressive historical and current record. The Citizens have won their last 19 competitive games in a row against Fulham, including the last 16 Premier League encounters – both record runs in English football. City are particularly dominant at their own stadium: Manchester City have been unbeaten in 55 Premier League home games during the week since May 2010 and have picked up 44 out of a possible 51 points from their last 17 league home games.

Overall, City’s form at the Etihad is also solid, with eleven consecutive home games without defeat. Individually, there is also a lot to be said for City, as Erling Haaland has not shown comparable efficiency against any other opponent and has been involved in ten goals in seven Premier League games against Fulham.

Fulham are clear underdogs statistically as they travel to Manchester. The Cottagers have lost their last eight away league games at City and have won only three of their Premier League away games against teams in the top three of the table. In their last five competitive games alone, Fulham have conceded 19 goals against the Citizens.

To make matters worse, coach Marco Silva has lost all 13 of his Premier League matches against Manchester City, which is his worst record against any opponent. Although Fulham has shown morale recently, for example in their narrow 3-2 defeat at Manchester United, where both Raúl Jiménez and Kevin scored, the overall situation remains difficult.

Manchester City – Fulham Head-to-head record / H2H record

Manchester City and Fulham have played each other 57 times in competitive matches. The majority of these have been in the Premier League (51), with two games each in the Championship, the FA Cup and the League Cup. The statistics clearly favor Manchester City: the Citizens have won 37 games, while Fulham have only managed nine wins and eleven draws. The goal difference also underlines City’s clear dominance, with 138 goals scored to Fulham’s 70, more than twice as many.

Manchester City – Fulham Tip

According to the Manchester City vs. Fulham betting odds from the best bookmakers, the hosts from Manchester are the clear favorites going into this game. This is, of course, entirely justified, as the Sky Blues have won their last 19 competitive games in a row against Fulham. In addition, they are unbeaten in 55 PL home games during the week and have lost only one league game at home this season.

Fulham, on the other hand, have not won in three away games in the league and have lost their last eight away games in a row in Manchester. Coach Marco Silva also has a poor record, having lost all 13 of his Premier League matches against Manchester City so far. In addition, the Cottagers have conceded 19 goals against the Sky Blues in their last five competitive games.
