Will the Gunners further solidify their lead at the top of the table?

Following a 1-1 draw in the Champions League against Bayer Leverkusen, Arsenal FC’s focus is now back on the Premier League. Currently, the Gunners still hold a seven-point lead over second-place Manchester City—though they have played one more game. Everton, on the other hand, currently sits in eighth place with 43 points.

The Toffees have been very prolific on the road lately, scoring at least one goal in each of their last five away matches. Most recently, they even scored three at St. James’ Park in Newcastle. Arsenal, on the other hand, have conceded at least one goal in six of their last nine home matches. In our Arsenal vs. Everton prediction, we are therefore once again betting on the visitors to score.

Arsenal FC continues to perform consistently in the league. Manager Mikel Arteta’s team has lost only one of its last 15 Premier League matches, securing ten wins and four draws during that period. The sole defeat came in January in a 2-3 loss to Manchester United. Arsenal is particularly dangerous on set pieces: With 24 goals from set pieces, including penalties, the Londoners lead the league; excluding penalties, they still have 21 goals.

Furthermore, Arsenal exceeds its expected goals more than any other team in the Premier League: 59 goals scored compared to an expected goals value of 50. In a head-to-head comparison with Everton, recent statistics also favor the Gunners, who are unbeaten in their last six Premier League matches against them, recording four wins and two draws during that stretch. In our Arsenal vs. Everton prediction, we expect them to remain unbeaten once again. However, since Everton has never conceded more than two goals in an away match, we’re combining this bet for added value.

Everton FC is also traveling with confidence. The Toffees won their last two league matches, 3-2 against Newcastle United and 2-0 against Burnley. This could see Everton win three Premier League matches in a row for the first time since May 2025. The team has been particularly strong on the road: With seven away wins, Everton ranks second in the league this season behind Arsenal; furthermore, they have won four of their last five league games on the road.

Defensively, the team is among the most efficient in the league. Everton has conceded only 33 goals so far, even though their Expected Goals Against (xGA) stands at 41.4—the largest positive deviation of any team. At the same time, the Toffees have conceded only eight goals from set pieces, including penalties—also a league-best. Since only one of the last five head-to-head matches has seen more than two goals scored, the odds for the Arsenal vs. Everton match are set at under 2.5 goals.

Arsenal – Everton Head-to-Head Record

The head-to-head record between Arsenal FC and Everton FC spans 212 competitive matches to date. Arsenal have emerged victorious 106 times, while Everton have won 61 encounters.

Another 45 matches ended in a draw. Arsenal also has a clear lead in goal difference: The Londoners have scored a total of 354 goals, while Everton has scored 249. Thus, both the win statistics and the goal difference clearly favor Arsenal.

Arsenal – Everton Prediction

The Londoners remain a force at the Emirates, having lost just one of their 22 home games this season—they’ve won 19. Additionally, they’re unbeaten in their last six Premier League matches against the Toffees and can take another important step toward the championship.

Everton, however, has been prolific on the road lately, scoring nine goals in their last five away matches—two more than in their previous ten competitive away games combined. Manager David Moyes, however, has historically struggled in away matches against Arsenal: In 20 Premier League away games, he has managed just one win, though that came most recently in December 2023 with West Ham United in a 2-0 victory at the Emirates Stadium.
