Another hopeless outing for Leeds at Old Trafford?
Under interim manager Michael Carrick, United have recorded seven wins in ten matches and suffered just one defeat. Thanks to this run, the home side now sits in third place in the table and has its sights firmly set on the upcoming Champions League.
The visitors, on the other hand, haven’t had much luck in the Premier League for quite some time. They’ve been waiting for a win for six matchdays, and the relegation zone is now just four points away. Given this situation, we’re predicting a home win for the match between Manchester United and Leeds.
Furthermore, the odds on a clean-sheet home win could be worth a bet. The biggest weakness for Farke’s visiting side in recent weeks has been a toothless offense. The team from Elland Road hasn’t scored in four league games now!
Furthermore, we believe Benjamin Sesko is capable of scoring for the hosts. The former RB Leipzig player is in particularly sharp form. The Slovenian has found the net in seven of the past eleven competitive matches, and the tally is all the more impressive given that he came off the bench in seven of those games!
However, given his excellent form, we now expect him to start. Given these numbers, Carrick can’t really hold onto his status as a bench player in this case.
Manchester United – Leeds Head-to-Head Record
Manchester and the team led by German coach Daniel Farke have already faced off once this year. The match took place last January in Leeds and ended in a 1-1 draw. Thanks to the draw, the home team has remained unbeaten in ten Premier League matches against the “Lillywhites” and has won the majority (6) of those encounters.
For the upcoming match between Manchester United and Leeds, the odds are once again clearly pointing toward another victory for the English record champions.

Manchester United – Leeds Prediction
The visiting players from the “City of Steel” need to get back on track soon, or else the newly promoted side faces an immediate return to the Championship. They are now just four points above the relegation zone. Their recent success in the FA Cup, where Leeds recently secured a spot in the semifinals, offers no help in league play.
To make matters worse for the visitors, they now face an away game. United has won just once on the road this season, and only Burnley and Wolverhampton have a worse away record than the team from the north.
It also doesn’t help in this context that they’re now facing a top Premier League team. Under coach Michael Carrick, Manchester has regained its former strength and, looking back at the last ten league games, is the best team in the English top flight (7-2-1)!
We are therefore opting for the odds on a home win in the match between Manchester United and Leeds. The head-to-head statistics also support this: As mentioned, the home side has gone ten Premier League matches against Leeds without a loss and has won six of those games!
