Will the Spurs pick up more crucial points in the relegation battle?
On Monday night, Tottenham Hotspur and Leeds United will face off in the Premier League. The hosts are currently in 17th place with 37 points, while the visitors sit in 14th place with 43 points. At the moment, West Ham remains the only threat in the relegation battle; the Hammers are currently in 18th place with 36 points.
The Spurs’ home games have recently been high-scoring from the start – in the last six matches, twelve goals were scored in the first half. In four of those six home games, there were at least two goals in the first half. In our Tottenham vs. Leeds prediction, we’re therefore once again betting on over 1.5 goals in the first half.
Tottenham heads into the clash against Leeds United with a strong record. The Spurs have won eight of their last nine Premier League matches against the Whites and have even gone five games in a row without a loss since their defeat in May 2021. Even though the team has recently regained form with wins against Wolverhampton and Aston Villa and is now aiming for three straight victories, their home record remains a clear weak point.
With just 11 points from home games and already 10 losses at their own stadium, Tottenham is among the weakest home teams of the season. Richarlison remains a key hope; over the last three seasons, he has averaged a goal or an assist every 109 minutes in the Premier League (25 goals, nine assists). In our Tottenham vs. Leeds prediction, we can envision another goal from the attacking player, just as he did against Villa.
Leeds United is in strong form and heads to London with plenty of confidence. Since December, the Whites have been among the league’s top-scoring teams and have suffered only four defeats during that period. Leeds is currently unbeaten in six games and has been particularly impressive offensively this season: In eight matches, the team has scored at least three goals—a remarkable feat for a promoted side.
Noah Okafor has been especially impressive, boasting an outstanding goal-scoring rate since February. He has scored six goals in just 408 minutes—that’s one goal every 68 minutes. Despite their current strong form, however, Leeds’ away record against Tottenham clearly speaks against them, as they have lost all of their last six away matches against the Spurs.
Tottenham – Leeds Head-to-Head Record
The head-to-head record between Tottenham Hotspur and Leeds United shows a generally even picture. In a total of 90 competitive matches, the Spurs have recorded 35 wins, while Leeds have 30 victories.
25 matches ended in a draw. Tottenham also holds a narrow lead in goals scored, 136 to 124, further underscoring the close history of this rivalry.
