Will the Spurs make it across the finish line?

It’s do-or-die for the Spurs on the final matchday: Only a draw or a home win against the “Toffees” will allow them to avoid relegation on their own terms. We now have a prediction ready for the “final” between Tottenham and Everton to avoid relegation! The Londoners head into the final matchday with a two-point lead over city rivals West Ham and a significantly better goal difference.

Only if the “Hammers” win and Tottenham simultaneously lose to the visiting team from the Mersey would Tottenham have to say goodbye to the Premier League. The Tottenham vs. Everton prediction regarding the latter scenario would thus be a true “nightmare” for the home side and, at the same time, their first relegation from the country’s top flight since 1977!

However, one factor in the hosts’ favor is that Liverpool won’t be coming into the match with overwhelming motivation. Everton has no remaining sporting goals this season and is already mentally on summer vacation.

This is evident from the fact that the visitors haven’t won in six matches and lost half of those games. Given this, we’re betting on a draw in the match between Tottenham and Everton.

Furthermore, goals from both sides seem likely. Both defenses have plenty of room for improvement, while the attacking lines are performing relatively well. Four of the home team’s last five league matches have ended this way, and in Everton’s case, even their last six league games.

Tottenham – Everton Head-to-Head Record

The last head-to-head match took place in Liverpool last October and ended with a 3-0 away win for the Londoners. This is nothing new: The Spurs have lost only one of their last ten Premier League meetings against Everton, and the home side has come out on top in half of those encounters (5-4-1).

For the upcoming match between Tottenham and Everton, the betting odds also point toward a win for the Londoners.

Tottenham – Everton Prediction

Spurs coach Roberto De Zerbi has been in the job for six games and hasn’t been able to bring about a real turnaround: with two wins, two losses, and two draws, the current record is merely even.

Fortunately, from the perspective of last season’s 17th-place finisher, city rival West Ham is performing even worse, which is why even a draw in the upcoming match against Everton would be enough to secure survival. The “Toffees” are also a welcome guest traveling to London.

The men from Hill Dickinson Stadium have lost their last four away games at Spurs, with a disastrous goal difference of 1:13. However, for the match between Tottenham and Everton, we’re predicting a draw.

Given their current position in the standings, the hosts don’t necessarily have to win and will therefore focus on defense if the game reaches a stalemate. Furthermore, the home team has been struggling at home for quite some time.

Tottenham has failed to secure a win in their last ten home games (0-4-6)—the second-longest such streak in the club’s history. The visitors, meanwhile, would likely be just as happy with a draw, as they have long since mentally written off the season due to a lack of sporting goals.
