Will Struffi reach for the stars in Brussels?

A rather unexpected final has emerged in Brussels, but one that features a German player. However, our Jan-Lennard Struff vs. Tallon Griekspoor prediction suggests that the 36-year-old from Warstein won’t go on to win the major title after his strong performances. In the final, he’ll ultimately face his nemesis. Struffi has lost all three of his previous matches against the Dutchman, although the head-to-head has been far less one-sided than the 0-3 record suggests.

It’s worth noting that both players recently emerged as the kings of comebacks in Brussels. In their semifinal matches, they were already down a break in the deciding set but managed to fight their way back to a tiebreak and win it. In fact, Struffi has won four out of five tiebreaks on his way to the final.

Nevertheless, the head-to-head record is ultimately too lopsided, which is why our Jan-Lennard Struff vs. Tallon Griekspoor prediction favors the Dutchman to win the title—as he’s once again in top form on the indoor circuit after a generally mixed season.

Nevertheless, there are also arguments in favor of the 36-year-old German, who has reached an ATP final for only the fifth time in his career. Moreover, his previous matches against Tallon Griekspoor were nowhere near as one-sided as the clear 0-3 head-to-head record might suggest. In fact, six of the ten sets played went to at least 6–6 or 7–5. Consequently, there’s strong speculation that Struffi can at least force the Dutchman into a tiebreak.

Jan-Lennard Struff – Tallon Griekspoor Head-to-Head Record

Head-to-Head: 0–3

The two players have faced each other three times so far, and in all three cases, Tallon Griekspoor has prevailed over the Warstein native, which clearly works against Jan-Lennard Struff’s chances of winning the title.

Jan-Lennard Struff vs. Tallon Griekspoor Prediction

While Struffi, at age 36, could win only his second ATP title ever, it would also be just Tallon Griekspoor’s fourth victory at an ATP tournament. The 30-year-old Dutchman had already reached a final in Dubai back in February but was unable to compete there due to a thigh injury.

After four first-round losses at the four Grand Slam tournaments in 2026, Griekspoor has now returned to top form this fall on the Asian tour and is our slight favorite. Accordingly, we’re betting that the Dutchman will come out on top and that Struffi will be denied the second ATP title of his career.
