Will the Packers remain the Bears’ nemesis?

Soldier Field, Chicago, -7 degrees Celsius, and the Green Bay Packers are the favorites. Some things never change in our Bears vs. Packers tip, even though Green Bay is only slightly ahead with the bookmakers this time. The odds are currently between 0.03 and 0.1 points.

The Packers have won 14 of the last 15 games in Chicago, but last weekend was disastrous for them, with two of their most important players, Micah Parsons and Christian Watson, losing out to injury. For Parsons (cruciate ligament rupture), the season is already over.

Now two things can happen: Either the Packers fall into a hole and the rest of the season will not be a great success, or a “now more than ever” mentality will develop. The best example of this was the Eagles in 2017, when they lost Carson Wentz and ended up winning the Super Bowl with backup Nick Foles.

We don’t know how far Green Bay will go, but there’s probably no better place for a defiant reaction than Soldier Field, where the Packers have had the Bears in the bag for years. So for Bears vs. Packers, our prediction is an away win, which would even see Green Bay take the top spot in the NFC North.

Kick-off for this heated and traditional NFC North matchup is at 2:20 a.m. on Sunday morning in Chicago. The game, which unusually takes place on Saturday, will be broadcast live on DAZN.

Chicago Bears – Green Bay Packers Head-to-head record

Dominance is the magic word in this matchup, as there is hardly any other duel in the NFL where one team has such a clearly positive record over the last ten years. Since 2016, there have been 19 head-to-head matchups between these two teams, and the Packers have come out on top 17 times.

Even after Aaron Rodgers’ departure, Jordan Love took his place as “ruler of Chicago,” winning his two appearances at Soldier Field with quarterback ratings of 123.2 and 113 points. We find it hard to believe that this streak will come to an end this time.

Although the Packers’ hopes have suffered a severe setback with Parsons’ injury, the defensive end had not been available in previous years either. Therefore, the odds on Green Bay are still our preferred betting option for Bears vs. Packers.

Chicago Bears – Green Bay Packers Tip

Statistically speaking, this matchup is quite close. The Bears score 1.2 points more per game, while the Packers concede 4.0 points less. However, Chicago’s big bargaining chip is turnovers, where they have collected the most of any team so far with 30. That’s over 2.0 per game.

Without ball gains, however, the Bears are a purely average team, and we don’t expect Jordan Love and Co. to give up the ball often on Saturday. Love has only had six interceptions so far this season. That makes a bet on the Green Bay Packers our number one pick for Bears vs. Packers.

For the mandatory player bet, we are also going with a Packers player and recommend a TD bet on Luke Musgrave. The tight end is likely to get even more balls after Watson’s injury and also has odds that offer impressive value even with a small stake.
