Will the Cowboys remain the league’s barn door?
Welcome to Sunday’s scoring extravaganza. At the very least, our Cowboys vs. Commanders tip promises plenty of points, as the Cowboys boast the NFL’s best offense on one hand, but also allow the most yards in the entire league on the other.
Since the Commanders also know how to score (26.3 points per game – 7th in the NFL), we expect a bit of a spectacle on Sunday. This is also supported by the fact that Dallas wide receiver CeeDee Lamb is expected to return to the field after a three-week break.
The Commanders are considered slight favorites away in Dallas, which is not surprising. The Cowboys are so weak defensively that they will have to score over 30 points to have any chance at all. Against the Packers, for example, even 40 points weren’t enough.
That makes us somewhat doubtful about a Cowboys victory. In any case, our prediction for Cowboys vs. Commanders is a high-scoring game in which turnovers could also be decisive in the end. So far this season, both teams are neck and neck in this statistic (both with six turnovers).
Kick-off for this NFL Week 7 game is on Sunday at 7:00 p.m. in Dallas. As always, the game will be available to watch live on the streaming provider DAZN – even as a single game with German commentary.
Dallas Cowboys – Washington Commanders Head-to-head comparison / H2H record
The Dallas Cowboys are currently a team straight out of a Quentin Tarantino movie – they shoot a lot, but are also mercilessly slaughtered at times. For football fans, their games are always very stylish and interesting, and also absolutely high-scoring.
An average of 60.3 total points are scored in Cowboys games – in soccer, this would be called a goal fest. Now against the Commanders, it could continue like this, because the 54.5 total points were exceeded in two of the last four duels, and the Cowboys’ defense was significantly better then.
Dallas won three of these four meetings, with the last one in early January also going to the Commanders in Dallas. In this respect, a victory prediction is difficult here, and for Cowboys vs. Commanders, the odds on over points are much more recommendable.
Dallas Cowboys – Washington Commanders Tip
The Cowboys allow by far the most yards per game with 411.7. However, the Commanders still manage 356.8, which is the seventh-weakest value. This means we expect an open house and end zones on Sunday.
This makes the betting odds of over 54.5 total points our clear recommendation for Dallas vs. Washington. Since we consider the Cowboys’ defense to be even weaker, point bets on the Commanders (over 27.5) are definitely playable.
Our player bet recommendation also lands us back with the Cowboys – but this time based on their strong offense. Jake Ferguson in particular has put up extremely strong numbers in Lamb’s absence, scoring four touchdowns in the last three games.
Even if Lamb returns (which should be confirmed by Saturday at the latest), we expect another good game from the tight end. So TD bets on Jake Ferguson are a tip where we also get extremely good betting odds of up to 2.90.
