Will the Eagles remain the Packers’ kryptonite?
The top game of NFL Week 10 kicks off Monday night with our Packers vs. Eagles tip. And this duel could well be decisive for the number 1 seed in the NFC. The Eagles currently hold that position, but a Packers win would see them overtake them.
The Packers have done well against the Eagles recently, whether in the playoffs in January or in Brazil in September. Now it’s time to get down to business at Lambeau Field, where the Packers have always been very strong historically. However, they did lose to the Carolina Panthers there last Sunday.
That’s why we see this as a completely even matchup – with a slight advantage for the rested Eagles, who are coming off their bye week. We therefore don’t agree with the 2-3 point lead given to the Packers by the bookmakers.
However, this opens up a lot of betting options for us, as our prediction for Packers vs. Eagles is a close game that should go to Philly again. They simply have the better nerves in one-score games and have won five of six of these close games this season.

The Eagles have won this matchup 3-0 in the last three years, with an average margin of victory of 8.0 points. Lambeau Field alone cannot compensate for this advantage, as was evident on the last game day when the Packers lost at home to the lower-ranked Panthers.
The aura they had there with Aaron Rodgers is now history. That makes the odds on Philadelphia very interesting in Packers vs. Eagles. They are considered the underdogs by the bookmakers, which means that even handicap bets on Eagles +2.5 still offer good value.
However, we would even recommend betting on Philly to win, as they have won all of their recent close games. It didn’t matter whether it was a high or low scoring game. In this case, however, we expect over points (over 45.0), which is another betting option.
Green Bay Packers – Philadelphia Eagles Tip
The Eagles score an average of 26.0 points per game, while the Packers score 25.8. That makes a total of 51.8 points. Of course, results are not calculated this way, but it does show that the bookmakers’ 45.0 is very low. This means that over-point tips are also very playable in this matchup.
However, nothing beats win bets. That makes the betting odds on the Eagles our number one recommendation for Green Bay vs. Philadelphia. There are simply some matchups where one team can read the other well and therefore goes into the game feeling confident from the outset. The fact that Philly is also coming off a bye week and should be well-rested underscores our recommendation.
There are several options for a player bet in this matchup. For the Packers, it’s Josh Jacobs, and for the Eagles, it’s Jalen Hurts or DeVonta Smith. Smith has averaged 6.75 catches in the last four games, which of course increases the likelihood of a touchdown. With odds of 3.00, we can definitely place a small bet on a touchdown by Smith.
