Will the downturn in ‘Rip City’ continue?
The home team has been waiting for its next win for four game days, while the visitors have won five of their last six games.
Another factor in the Cavaliers’ favor is that they are hardly any less strong on the road than at home. Their away win rate of 54.5 percent is only slightly below their home win rate of 60.7 percent. Currently fourth in the Eastern Conference standings, the Cavs are also well on course for the playoffs.
In contrast, it will be difficult for the hosts to qualify for the postseason: they are currently only ninth in the West, which means that they would at least have to go through the play-in tournament after the regular season. However, Toumani Camara is in good form in “Rip City.” The forward from Belgium has scored 16 or more points in five of the last six games!
Given his consistent performance, we predict that he will score more than 12.5 points again when the Portland Trail Blazers and Cleveland Cavaliers meet. In addition, we expect an away win given the stable performances of the 2016 champions in recent weeks.
Portland Trail Blazers – Cleveland Cavaliers Head-to-head record
The last head-to-head matchup between Portland and Cleveland took place in Ohio in December last year and ended in a surprise home defeat for the Cavs. Looking back over a longer period, however, the visitors’ record in this pairing is very positive: only two of the last nine encounters with the home team have ended in defeat for the franchise from the Buckeye State!
The odds for the next Portland Trail Blazers vs. Cleveland Cavaliers game also point to another win for Coach Kenny Atkinson’s team.
Portland Trail Blazers – Cleveland Cavaliers Tip
The hosts are having an average season and it seems questionable at this point whether they will make the postseason. However, it is not currently Toumani Camara’s fault that Portland’s success is not as great as it could be.
The forward is in his third season in the National Basketball Association and is only the second Belgian after Axel Hervelle in 2005 to be picked in an NBA draft. Unlike him, however, his compatriot never played in the NBA.
Camara, for his part, is currently performing particularly well in the league: In five of the last six games, the Brussels native has exceeded his season scoring average of 12.9 points!
In light of this, we believe that betting odds of more than 12.5 points for the 25-year-old in the upcoming match between the Portland Trail Blazers and Cleveland Cavaliers are once again recommended. This is also supported by the fact that, after his last game against the New York Knicks, in which he was exceptionally weak with zero points, he will certainly want to respond to this unusual off-day.
