Will the Seahawks get going at home too?

Monday – Take two. The next Monday Night Game and our Seahawks vs. Texans tip also feature two of the better teams in the NFL. Although their fortunes have been mixed, the Hawks already have two more wins than Houston.

However, Seattle has been surprisingly weak at home so far, and Lumen Field had already lost some of its mystique in the previous season. Seattle’s home record last year was 3-6, and so far this season it is 1-2. It’s time for the Seahawks to put on a show in front of their own fans again.

With their outstanding defense so far, they should be able to do that, as the Texans have struggled with their offense. Although they average 21.6 points per game, 44 of those came against the struggling Ravens defense. Without that game, they would be averaging just 16.0 points per game.

The Seahawks should be able to defend that, which is why our prediction for Seattle vs. Houston is a home win for the Seahawks, although it is likely to be hard-fought rather than easy. We wouldn’t be surprised if one of the two defenses ended up contributing to the score.

Kick-off for this second Monday night game is at 4:00 a.m. on Tuesday in Seattle. The game will be broadcast live on the DAZN streaming service.

Seattle Seahawks – Houston Texans Head-to-head comparison / H2H record

These two teams have only met five times in NFL history, with the Seahawks coming out on top four times. The last time was in 2021, when Seattle won 33-13 on the road. The Texans have yet to win a single game in Seattle.

So much for history, but the recent past and current form also favor Seattle. Yes, the Texans are coming off two dominant wins, but their opponents were the very weak Titans and the Ravens, who are currently just as weak without Lamar Jackson.

The Seahawks, on the other hand, are 4-2 and were close to victory in both of their losses to the 49ers and the Bucs. So for Seahawks vs. Texans, the odds on a Seattle win are definitely playable. However, to avoid having to take a handicap, there is an exciting alternative for this matchup: Seattle + both teams score at least 10 points.

Both offenses should be able to put up this number despite strong defenses, and it would also significantly increase the value.

Seattle Seahawks – Houston Texans Tip

The Texans are unlikely to see much ground on Monday. Seattle allows only 79.0 rushing yards, which is the second-best figure in the NFL. This means that the Texans offense is likely to become one-dimensional quite quickly, which then makes several betting options exciting.

On the one hand, of course, there is the aforementioned bet on Seattle + both teams 10+ points, but there is also a player bet. Since the Texans will be passing a lot, the betting odds on a touchdown by Nico Collins are recommended for Seahawks vs. Texans at excellent odds of up to 2.45.

However, handicap bets on the Seahawks are also an option. Since many of their games have been quite close, we would go up to a maximum handicap of Seattle -3. We consider a field goal as the difference to be not unlikely for the outcome of this game.
