Will the Rossoneri underline their ambitions?

After a forgettable season last year, which ended with them finishing eighth and missing out on European qualification, AC Milan have worked their way back to the top of the national league in 2025/26. After twelve matchdays, the Lombards are second in the table and the closest challengers to leaders AS Roma.

Coach Massimiliano Allegri’s team will be looking to celebrate another three points against their archrivals on Saturday evening. Based on their performances in recent weeks and considering their home advantage, there is every reason to believe that the 19-time national champions will come out on top in the match between AC Milan and Lazio Rome on the 13th matchday in Italy.

The Rossoneri gained a lot of confidence last week with a 1-0 win in the Derby della Madonnina against Inter Milan. Christian Pulisic, who celebrated his first start for “Il Diavolo” since the beginning of October after a long injury break, was the golden goal scorer in the seventh Serie A win of the season.

Although the American has not played in four league games, he leads the Serie A scoring charts with five goals. Reason enough to predict another Pulisic goal on Saturday between AC Milan and Lazio Rome.

Otherwise, I’m focusing primarily on the AC Milan vs. Lazio Rome odds, which are pointing to a home win. The Lombards are unbeaten in twelve (!) competitive games, have already defeated AS Roma and the reigning champions from Naples at home, and are also facing an opponent who has definitely not covered themselves in glory away from home.

Coach Maurizio Sarri’s visiting team is ranked 16th in the away table, having collected only five points in six games in opposing stadiums, and is hard to beat in terms of offensive harmlessness. They have scored a total of three away goals. Since the end of September, “Le Aquile” have not been able to celebrate a goal outside Rome. However, since none of the six Serie A away games involving Lazio would have exceeded 3.5 goals, my main tip is a home win with a maximum of four goals in the game.

AC Milan – Lazio Rome Head-to-head comparison / H2H record

Last season, Lazio Rome remained unbeaten in both home and away games against AC Milan. At San Siro, the capital city team even celebrated a surprising 2-1 victory. Otherwise, however, the head-to-head comparison is firmly in the hands of the red and blacks, who have won eight of the last twelve encounters. Milan have also won five of their last six home games. In four cases, these AC victories were even achieved without conceding a goal! Another interesting fact: there have only been two games in this fixture since 2013 in which five or more goals were scored.

AC Milan – Lazio Rome Tip

AC Milan could take the lead in the table on Saturday evening. If the Rossoneri win their home game against Lazio Rome, Allegri’s team would climb to the top of Serie A, at least until Sunday evening. Because AS Rome is facing Napoli, the Red and Blacks could even become the big winners of this matchday.

First, however, they must fulfill their duty against Sarri’s protégés. According to the AC Milan vs. Lazio Rome betting odds, this should not be too difficult. AC Milan are clear favorites, which is certainly also due to the capital club’s disappointing away record.

Lazio Rome has won only one away game so far, has not scored away from home in two months, and has lost five of its last six away games at San Siro against Milan. It should also be noted that the current second-placed team from the fashion city has already beaten several top opponents at home.

I expect this to happen again on Saturday evening and that the tip for a home win with under 4.5 goals will prove correct in the match between AC Milan and Lazio Rome.
