Will the Biancoblù also impress in the Eternal City?

Under Cesc Fàbregas, who was rumored to be Alonso’s successor in Leverkusen this summer, something has developed on Lake Como. After an impressive tenth place in last year’s final table, the Biancoblù are currently even aiming for an international starting place. However, after eleven league games in a row without defeat (five wins, six draws), they suffered a 4-0 defeat away at Inter Milan.

Nevertheless, in AS Roma vs. Como, the prediction that the supposed underdog can score again in the Eternal City is by no means out of the question. After all, the Giallorossi have also lost two league games in a row.

The Wolves redeemed themselves during the week in the Europa League with a resounding 3-0 away win at Celtic Glasgow. Overall, however, it must be said that Roma, under Gian Piero Gasperini, usually struggle to score goals. The Wolves have scored just 15 goals in 14 Serie A games. But: with only eight goals conceded, the capital club has the best defense in the league. Right behind them: Como 1907. The Biancoblù have conceded only eleven goals, an average of just 0.78 goals per league game. Accordingly, the tip for a low-scoring match at the Stadio Olimpico is very popular. We are therefore betting on under 2.5 goals.

Also very interesting is the explicit tip that the Giallorossi, who have fallen somewhat in the championship predictions after two 0-1 defeats against Napoli and Cagliari, will score a maximum of one home goal against the defensive artists from Lake Como. Apart from the 4-0 defeat in Milan, the Biancoblù have not conceded more than one goal in any competitive game in the 2025/26 season.

AS Roma – Como Head-to-head record

Head to head: 6 – 8 – 15

A total of 29 competitive matches have been played between the two teams so far, with AS Roma leading the head-to-head record very clearly with 15 wins. The Giallorossi also won their last home game against Como 1907 2–1, but were defeated by the Biancoblù in the two competitive games before that. However, their last home defeat against the team from Lake Como dates back to April 1950.

AS Roma – Como Tip

Although the odds from the best bookmakers are leaning towards AS Roma against Como, who haven’t lost a home game against the team from Lake Como in 75 years, we can’t wholeheartedly agree with the Giallorossi being the favorites. However, we cannot wholeheartedly agree with the Giallorossi being the favorites. Despite their defensive compactness, the capital city team has sometimes struggled in front of the opponent’s goal, as evidenced by the fact that the Wolves have scored only 15 goals in 14 league games.

The Biancoblù also have the second-best defense in Serie A, conceding an average of only 0.78 goals per Serie A game in 2025/26.

In fact, Fàbregas’s team’s defense is only surpassed by the Wolves’ defense, which has conceded just eight goals. Accordingly, the prediction for AS Roma vs. Como is that there will be very few goals at the Stadio Olimpico. It is anything but unlikely that a single goal will decide the game.
