Barca’s first home game in the mini stadium!

The visitors from Mestalla have been a gray mouse in LaLiga for quite some time now. Looking back at the last six seasons, they have ranked no higher than ninth in the final standings.

So far, Barca has also performed strongly in the current edition of LaLiga. After three rounds of matches, all of which were played away due to the ongoing delays in the completion of construction work at Camp Nou, Flick’s team has seven points. However, the upcoming match will not take place as planned in the newly opened Barca temple, but will be played in the Estadi Johan Cruyff, the actual training stadium, which only holds around 6,000 spectators.

Compared to the offense, the defense has room for improvement, having already conceded three goals. In contrast, the visitors recently impressed from an offensive perspective with a 3-0 win against Getafe, a strong opponent who had previously conceded only one goal and started the season with two wins. In light of this, we believe the “Bats” will score again and are predicting that both teams will score in the match between Barcelona and Valencia.

We also expect a clear home win. The hosts won their last home game against Valencia 7-1 and are currently looking more efficient again. For this reason, the odds for a home win with at least a two-goal difference also look promising.

This would not be a new pattern anyway – three of the Catalans’ last four home wins have been by two or more goals.

Barcelona – Valencia Head-to-head record

Barcelona are unbeaten in eleven games against Valencia across all competitions, with only two of those games not ending in a win for the Catalans! The odds are also clearly in favor of the hosts for the upcoming clash between Barcelona and Valencia.

Barcelona – Valencia Tip

The visiting “Bats” cashed in during the summer, selling top defender Cristhian Mosquera to Arsenal. Yarek Gasiorowski, another very solid defender, was transferred to PSV Eindhoven. In view of these personnel losses, the visitors’ defense must be considered weaker than last year.

In contrast, the home side have only been convincing in defense at times so far and have been waiting for a clean sheet for two rounds. In light of this, we believe the Barcelona vs. Valencia betting odds suggest that both sides will score.

This is supported by the statistics: only one of the FCB’s last nine home games against Valencia in the league and the Copa del Rey did not see both sides score!
