12 out of 12: Bayern wants to extend its record start!

Many betting providers regularly come up with attractive sports betting bonus promotions for the UEFA Champions League. Increased odds on selected matches are particularly popular.

There are certainly few doubts that coach Vincent Kompany’s team will prevail against the Blue and Blacks in the run-up to the match. The Munich team has been plowing through all competitions so far, with eleven wins from eleven competitive games! After Saturday evening’s well-deserved home win against Borussia Dortmund, the impressive run is now set to continue in the Champions League. The fact is that there are, of course, sufficient statistical and subjective arguments for a confident home win in the Bayern vs. Bruges prediction.

However, the Belgian runners-up should not be completely underestimated. After all, Club Brugge started the Champions League group stage with an extremely dominant home win against AS Monaco and could definitely have taken something away from their trip to Atalanta Bergamo three weeks ago. The goal that led to the 2-1 defeat came shortly before the end.

For Wednesday evening’s match, however, I don’t expect “De Boeren” to have a serious chance of winning points at this late stage of the game. Instead, I tend to think that FCB—as so often this season—will lay the foundation for success before the break. Based on this assumption, I recommend betting on a start-to-finish victory for Harry Kane and Co. between Bayern and Bruges.

Bayern vs. Bruges Prediction AI

This underlines the completely one-sided assessment of artificial intelligence. On the one hand, Munich is given a probability of winning of over 82%. On the other hand, the expected winning margin – measured by the xG values of 3.27 and 0.98 – is a whopping 2.29 goals. This results in a Bayern vs. Bruges AI prediction of 1.86 at the top of the Asian handicap (-2) in favor of the home team. The bet wins if there is a home victory with a three-goal difference. If FCB wins by two goals, there is cashback!

Bayern – Statistics & current form

FC Bayern is currently the benchmark in German soccer. The team from the Isar also holds its own in international comparison. On the contrary, after two of a total of eight match days, the Munich team also leads the CL league table. Thanks to two wins against Chelsea (3-1) and Paphos (5-1), coach Vincent Kompany’s team has the maximum six points to its name and, together with BVB, has scored the most goals in the competition to date (eight).

A strong first half is often enough for Bayern

Overall, the reigning German champions have had a flawless season so far. They have celebrated eleven wins in eleven competitive games. With their 2-1 triumph over BVB at the weekend, the southern Germans increased their lead in the Bundesliga table to five points. So it looks set to be another completely tension-free season in the German top flight.

Given the immense self-confidence, form, and impressive ease with which the stars from Säbener Straße are currently racking up victory after victory, I think the main question on Wednesday evening will be what additional bet can be combined with a victory for the favorites to get attractive odds for the match between Bayern and Bruges.

The most striking factor here is the record for the first halves so far. Bayern have led at half-time in all seven Bundesliga matchdays. Manuel Neuer has not conceded a single goal in the first 45 minutes of league play. Against Chelsea (HT: 2-1) and Paphos (HT: 4-1), the foundation for three points was also laid in the first half. That’s exactly why I see value in predicting another half-time lead for the German record champions ahead of Bayern’s third Champions League match against Bruges. In addition to the double result HT1/FT1, the handicap -1.5 (1st half) is also extremely exciting.

Bruges – Statistics & current form

Club Brugge has made a name for itself internationally in recent years. Good performances in the UEFA Champions League have led to impressive transfer revenues and the signing of new, young talent. After their almost sensational entry into the CL round of 16 in 2024/25, the Blue and Blacks want to cause a stir again this season for as long as possible and trip up one or two favorites.

Club Brugge is always good for a goal

Admittedly, this has been more successful at home in recent months and years. This thesis also reflects the team’s performance in the league so far. While AS Monaco was put in its place with a 4-1 home win, this was followed by an avoidable 1-2 defeat on the second matchday in Bergamo, which came late but was not undeserved given the course of the game. With Bayern now waiting in the wings, the team led by German U21 international Nicola Tresoldi faces a much tougher challenge, and I can’t imagine the Belgian runners-up scoring in Munich.

On a positive note, “De Boeren” have recently picked up momentum at the national level. The second-placed team has won all of its last three league games. At the weekend, they won 1-0 in Leuven, and before the international break, they also won 1-0 against the current league leaders Royale Union SG.

Including the Super Cup and Champions League qualifiers, coach Nicky Hayen’s men have only failed to score in one of their 15 competitive games so far. Given that Munich, under Kompany, have only kept a clean sheet in four of 16 Champions League matches, it may be an option to bet on “both teams to score” between Bayern and Bruges.

Bayern – Bruges Head-to-head record

The only two direct encounters took place almost exactly 20 years ago. In the 2005/06 Champions League group stage, Bayern narrowly won 1-0 at home, but had to settle for a 1-1 draw in Bruges. Incidentally, Munich are still unbeaten against Belgian clubs in their own stadium in the Champions League. They have won five games and scored 12 goals to concede just one in five matches. The only goal they have conceded dates back to 1986. In fact, only one Belgian representative has ever managed to win a European Cup match on the Isar. It seems unrealistic that this will change on Wednesday evening.

Bayern – Bruges Tip

Looking back at the last 24 CL home games, Bayern have suffered only one defeat (18-5-1). In the Champions League group or league phase, Munich remained unbeaten in 35 (!) consecutive matches at the Allianz Arena (33-2-0). Everything points to these streaks continuing on Wednesday evening. After all, Kompany’s team has won all eleven competitive matches played so far in 2025/26. Led by Harry Kane, who has been involved in 27 FCB goals in the Champions League since October 2023 (22 goals, five assists), it is safe to assume that the confident Bundesliga leaders will accomplish their task against the current second-placed team from Belgium.

I’m going one step further and am inclined to bet on another start-to-finish victory for the favorites. Without exception, the German record champions were already ahead at halftime in all eleven competitive games. That’s exactly why I’m pushing for a double result HT1/FT1 at odds of 1.68 for the Bayern vs. Bruges match.
