World Cup ticket for Belgium now just a formality
The Red Devils could have already secured their World Cup ticket, but the team could not manage more than a draw in Kazakhstan on Saturday. Now it’s time for a Belgium vs. Liechtenstein tip, and anything other than a home win is hardly conceivable.
Mathematically, Belgium could even fall back to second place, as North Macedonia and Wales are only two points behind, but in practical terms, nothing can go wrong. The only question for Tuesday is how high the home win will be.
Of course, no surprise can be expected for the Belgium vs. Liechtenstein prediction. Belgium is too strong and Liechtenstein is simply too small to achieve any kind of success. So far, they have not even managed a single goal in this World Cup qualifier.
The first leg has already shown that many goals can be expected. Now the game is even being played in Liège, which greatly increases the chances of a landslide victory.

The expected goals value of 6.82 for Belgium alone shows that many goals can be expected. Not only was there a 6-0 win against Liechtenstein, but also against Kazakhstan in September. Four goals were scored against Wales in each game.
So it will be exciting to see how many goals are scored, rather than whether Belgium will have to go into the playoffs after all. A draw is basically just as unlikely as a win for the visitors, who will end this qualifying round with zero points.
