Will both sides score?

Sevilla has been a good place for the visitors from the Balearic Islands recently: Mallorca recorded their first away win of the season in their last visit to the hosts’ city rivals, FC Sevilla!

This ended coach Jagoba Arrasate’s team’s dismal run of four away defeats since the start of the season. Is it now worth betting on Betis Sevilla vs. Mallorca for the “Piratas” to secure their next away win?

The hosts, meanwhile, have been waiting for three points for two rounds. However, the schedule has been very difficult recently with Villarreal and Atletico Madrid. Both clubs are among the top four teams in the table. In addition, despite the two winless league games, the hosts are in good form.

With 17 points, they are in sixth place, as they were at the end of last season. The Andalusians have so far been able to build on their successful last season. The visiting club, which has two NBA legends, Steve Nash and Steve Kerr, as illustrious co-owners, is languishing in fifth from bottom in the table.

At least away from home, however, the RCD offense is reliable. The 1999 European Cup Winners’ Cup finalist scores almost twice as often on foreign soil as it does at home! For the match between Betis Sevilla and Mallorca, the prediction is therefore for both sides to score.

We also expect a goal from Vedat Muriqi for coach Jagoba Arrasate’s team. The striker has already scored five goals in nine appearances. This means that the Kosovar has scored no less than 45 percent of RCD’s goals this season.

Betis Sevilla – Mallorca Head-to-head comparison / H2H record

Betis has won six of its last seven games against the Balearic Islands team (6-0-1). However, the last home game against the team from Estadi de Son Moix in September last year ended in a 1-2 defeat.

For the next match at Betis Sevilla’s Estadio de La Cartuja against Mallorca, however, the odds once again favor the hosts.

Betis Sevilla – Mallorca Tip

Coach Manuel Pellegrini’s home team has recently been struggling defensively: the “Béticos” have been waiting for a clean sheet for three league games and, with five goals conceded, have conceded almost half of their total of twelve goals this season.

RCD Mallorca may be a beatable opponent, but the 2003 Copa del Rey winners are particularly strong away from home. The islanders have failed to score in only one of their four away games this season.

In addition, almost two-thirds of their goals this season (63.6 percent) have been scored away from home. Given this situation, we are opting for the Betis Sevilla vs. Mallorca betting odds on both teams scoring.

On top of that, there should be no shortage of goals: four of Mallorca’s five away games this season have seen more than two goals scored. Furthermore, RCD’s away games have seen 3.2 goals scored on average – only the away league games of the two top clubs, Real Madrid (3.8) and FC Barcelona (3.7), have seen more!
