Who will get their first win in the Champions League?
The Old Lady has already been involved in several spectacular encounters this season. Among other things, the 4-4 draw against Borussia Dortmund on the first matchday of the Champions League, which took place immediately after a 4-4 draw against Inter Milan, was entertaining. Goals are also important in our Bodö/Glimt vs. Juventus tip.
Those in charge in Piedmont were not at all pleased with the balance between entertainment and success under Igor Tudor. A miserable run of eight games without a win meant the end for the Croatian coach after only six months in charge. In the Bodö/Glimt vs. Juventus prediction, his successor Luciano Spaletti is already on the bench for his fourth competitive game for the Italian record champions.
However, Spalletti has not yet been able to turn things around for the Old Lady. The 66-year-old won his first game in charge (2-1 vs. Cremonese), but the traditional Turin club then went three competitive games without a win (1-1 vs. Sporting Lisbon and Fiorentina, 0-0 vs. Torino).
Furthermore, the hosts should not be underestimated. Since 2018, coach Kjetil Knutsen has had “The Yellow Horde” play with a maximum offensive mindset on the field – no matter where and no matter who they are playing against. Our choice for the Bodö/Glimt vs. Juventus bet is therefore clearly a goal bet.
Bodø/Glimt vs. Juventus AI prediction
Our artificial intelligence does not quite share this opinion. According to the Bodø/Glimt vs. Juventus AI prediction, a bet on “Both teams to score – No” would be advisable. The bookmakers give this event a probability of around 40 percent. AI rates this betting option with a 48 percent chance.
Bodö/Glimt – Statistics & current form
Last year, everyone was talking about the Norwegian representative. Thanks to furious performances – especially in their own stadium – “The Yellow Horde” stormed into the semi-finals of the Europa League. This year, Knutsen’s team is participating in the Champions League for the first time.
At the highest European level, the hosts immediately caused a sensation again and delivered nerve-wracking encounters. Away to Slavia Prague, the Champions League newcomers escaped a looming defeat after falling behind 0-2 and ultimately earned a point (2-2).
In the second round of matches, Tottenham visited Norway and only managed to avoid defeat with great difficulty. This time, Bodø/Glimt squandered a 2-0 lead and gave away a point (2-2). Although the two subsequent matches against Galatasaray (1-3) and Monaco (0-1) were lost, we believe the hosts in Bodø/Glimt against Juventus could spring a surprise.
A distinctive identity
The home side fearlessly storms towards their opponents in their games – no matter how highly decorated the teams they face are. This has not yet brought the Knutsen team a victory, but it has certainly earned them recognition. Only seven teams have scored more expected goals than “The Yellow Horde” (8.2 xG) in the current Champions League season.
The Champions League newcomers press relentlessly (10.3 PPDA), have made 48 pressing sequences (8th) and earned the seventh-highest number of high ball wins of all Champions League participants (39). This has resulted in eight shots and one goal for the Norwegian representative. However, pressing is only one part of the match plan.
Knutsen expects his team to play clean, vertical passes – preferably in dangerous areas. Only three teams (Manchester City, Real Madrid, and PSG) have played more passes into the attacking third than the Scandinavians (708). The game often goes back and forth with great scoring chances on both sides. Bodø/Glimt generates 0.15 xG/shot (5th), but also concedes 0.16 xGA/shot.

Juventus – Statistics & current form
The Old Lady has shared the points three times in a row recently. Last weekend’s draw against Fiorentina (1-1), who are still without a win, caused further disillusionment for the Italian record champions. The Bianconeri are still winless in the Champions League (3D, 1L) and are only slight favorites on the upcoming matchday – at least when comparing the Bodö/Glimt vs. Juventus betting odds.
During the previous four matchdays in the Champions League, an average of 3.75 goals per Juve game have been scored. 80 percent of these goals were scored after halftime (12/15). This is a clear indication of our intended bet for the match against Bodö/Glimt.
On the international stage, the Italian representative has not been able to impress too often in recent years. The Old Lady has had the most difficulty away from home. Juve has won only one of its previous twelve Champions League away games (5D, 6L).
Victories are rare
Thiago Motta has not been the Old Lady’s coach since March of this year. However, the problems from his phase have remained. Under Motta, the traditional club from Turin shared the points in 16 of 42 games and won only 42 percent of its competitive games.
The visitors are experiencing similar difficulties this season. Juve have won only two of their previous 13 competitive games. In addition, Spaletti’s protégés have conceded at least one goal in each of their last seven CL appearances (14 in total, an average of 2.0 per game).
Like Bodö/Glimt, the traditional club from the Piedmont region wins an enormous number of balls in the attacking third. Only three other CL participants have won the ball in the final third more often than Juventus Turin (42) through aggressive pressing. One goal has already resulted from such a pressing sequence.

Bodø/Glimt – Juventus Head-to-head comparison / H2H record
Before the fifth round of matches in this year’s Champions League season, the two clubs had never faced each other in a competitive match. However, there is one interesting fact: Juve has never won a European away game on Norwegian soil (four draws).
Bodö/Glimt – Juventus Tip
Our attention in this matchup is clearly focused on the second half. Bodö/Glimt has scored all five of its Champions League goals in the second half so far. In terms of expected goals, the Norwegian club has been even more dangerous with 8.2 expected goals.
The risky but entertaining style of play leads to an above-average number of big chances in Champions League matches involving the Norwegian participant – on both sides. Based on the Old Lady’s previous CL encounters, we deduce from the Bodö/Glimt vs. Juventus odds that these are likely to occur primarily in the second 45 minutes.
In addition, both coaches obviously have the option of bringing on key players from the bench. Both Bodö/Glimt and the Italian record champions from Turin have already scored three goals from their substitutes.
