Another win for the Londoners?

The home side will be fresher than their visitors, who were already in action this week in the Champions League against Villarreal. So is it worth betting on a Brighton win against Tottenham? From the perspective of the timing of the match, certainly, but on the other hand, the Seagulls have rarely impressed so far this season.

After four rounds of matches, Coach Hürzeler’s team has only one win to its name. However, this came on home turf and against Manchester City, one of the heavyweights of the British top flight.

In addition, the recent defeat at Bournemouth must be put into perspective, as the Cherries are currently in particularly good form with three wins in a row. For the match between Brighton and Tottenham, however, the prediction is for a double chance in favor of the visitors, who we consider to be the stronger team with three wins from their first four games and only one defeat.

Furthermore, we expect at least two goals from Spurs. With an average of two goals per league game in the current Premier League season, the Londoners have the fourth-best scoring record, and Brighton are vulnerable in defense. Albion have yet to keep a clean sheet this season and have conceded an average of 1.5 goals.

Brighton – Tottenham Head-to-head record / H2H record

Brighton won both PL matches against Tottenham last season. In addition, Spurs have been waiting for points in their last two league away games on the south coast, and the pairing has been a guarantee for plenty of goals in the recent past.

The last five meetings ended with goals on both sides and always with three or more goals. The Brighton vs. Tottenham odds for more than 2.5 goals and both teams scoring could therefore also be worthwhile in our opinion.

Brighton – Tottenham Tip

Tottenham are in good early form, especially away from home. Their two away games this season, at Manchester City and West Ham, both ended in wins for the Londoners without conceding a goal!

Furthermore, the squad has been further strengthened by the recent signing of Xavi Simons. The Dutch attacking midfielder came from RB Leipzig and made a successful debut in the last league game against West Ham with an assist.

For the match between Brighton and Tottenham, we think the betting odds for a draw or an away win are worth checking out, given the current situation. Another reason for this is that the hosts are not in as good form as their upcoming opponents.

While Tottenham are currently third in the table, the Seagulls are only in 13th place after four rounds of games with the same number of points. On top of that, the Londoners gained additional confidence with their victory over Villarreal in the Champions League last Tuesday.
