Will the Celestes shake off their mini-crisis?

On Friday evening, the current seventh-placed team in La Liga will host the current ninth-placed team. This means that both clubs are in exactly the same position they occupied in the final table of Spain’s top flight in the summer of 2025. Against this backdrop, the 2025/26 season can certainly be considered a success, even though the Celestes (meaning “sky blues”) have not won their last three competitive games (two draws, one defeat) and have slipped into a mini-crisis.

To make matters worse, Bayern Munich loanee Bryan Zaragoza has now been loaned out to AS Roma, even though the 24-year-old has played in 19 La Liga games for the Célticos. Nevertheless, our tip for Celta Vigo against Osasuna is a win for the Galicians, who have lost only three of their eleven La Liga home games in 2025/26 (three wins, five draws).

We would still expect the visitors from Pamplona to pick up a point. CA Osasuna has lost only one of its last six La Liga games (three wins, two draws). However, it is somewhat problematic that only Elche has won less often away from home (not at all) and earned even fewer points on the road (four) than the Rojillos (one away win, five away points). Since we don’t expect a goal fest at Estadio Balaídos, we think it makes the most sense to go for the combined bet on double chance 1X with under 3.5 goals.

However, given that the Pamplona side are one of the weakest away teams in La Liga, it would also be a valid approach to try a direct bet on a home win for the Galicians, who have won three of their last four encounters with the Rojillos (one defeat) – including their last home game, which they won 1-0.

Celta Vigo – Osasuna Head-to-head record

Head to head: 36 – 11 – 28

A total of 75 matches have been played between the two teams so far, with Celta Vigo leading the head-to-head record with 36 wins. The Celestes not only won their last home game against CA Osasuna 1–0, but also prevailed 3–2 in the first leg in Pamplona on October 26, 2025. A total of three of the last four encounters went to the Galicians (one defeat).

Celta Vigo – Osasuna Tip

The current form slightly favors the visitors from Pamplona. Overall, however, our prediction for Celta Vigo vs. Osasuna is based on the Galicians’ strong home form, as they welcome one of La Liga’s weakest away teams to Balaídos. The Rojillos have scored just six goals in eleven La Liga away games in the 2025/26 season, picking up only one win (two draws, eight defeats) and collecting just five points. It therefore seems logical to predict that the Celestes, who will face PAOK Saloniki in the Europa League round of 16 playoffs in February, will now be able to shake off their small losing streak of three consecutive competitive games without a win (two draws, one defeat).

However, it is striking that the Célticos also failed to score last Sunday at Getafe (0-0) and have scored “only” 16 goals in eleven La Liga home games overall. Accordingly, a high-scoring match is not to be expected. Against this backdrop, we recommend the match combo on the double chance 1X with under 3.5 goals, which would also cover results such as 0-0 or 1-1.

For this combined tip, Betano is offering odds of 1.57 for Celta Vigo vs. Osasuna, which we are betting on with six out of ten units.
