Will the Biancoblù make a statement in the Lombardy derby?
Como 1907 is undoubtedly the surprise team of the 2025/26 season and is currently just seven matchdays away from securing a Champions League spot. However, the Scudetto will almost certainly go to Inter Milan in a few weeks. Although the Biscione (meaning “the viper”) has won only one of its last five competitive matches (three draws, one loss), they hold a seven-point lead over defending champions Napoli. However, if Como manages to beat Inter Milan, it would certainly be a setback for Cristian Chivu’s side.
For the Biancoblù, there is more at stake than just a Champions League spot. They also aim to make a statement against Inter, as they will face the Nerazzurri in just nine days after this league match in the second leg of the Coppa Italia semifinals, with a spot in the grand final on the line. The first leg at Lake Como ended in a scoreless draw, which we still consider anything but unrealistic. After all, Cesc Fàbregas’s team boasts the strongest defense in Serie A, having conceded just 22 goals in 31 league matches. We therefore highly recommend betting on under 2.5 goals.
It is far from unlikely that the Nerazzurri will once again have to endure a test of patience at the Stadio Giuseppe Sinigaglia, where their offense—which failed to score in two of their last five competitive matches and managed just a single goal in two others—will struggle for long stretches.
Como – Inter Milan Head-to-Head Record
Head to Head: 6 – 7 – 26
The Lombardy derby between Como 1907 and Inter Milan has taken place just 39 times, and with 26 wins, the Nerazzurri hold a clear advantage in the head-to-head record. Currently, the Biscione are unbeaten in their last 15 meetings with the team from Lake Como (twelve wins, three draws) and also defeated the surprise team of the 2025/26 season 4-0 in the first leg at home. In the first leg of the Coppa Italia semifinals, however, the away match at Stadio Giuseppe Sinigaglia ended in a 0-0 draw.

Como – Inter Milan Prediction
We consider it a rather bold assessment that the top bookmakers’ odds for Como vs. Inter Milan are so heavily in favor of the Nerazzurri. After all, not only do the Biancoblù boast the best defense in Serie A, but they also haven’t lost any of their last eight competitive matches (five wins, three draws), while the league leaders, although they celebrated a 5-2 victory over AS Roma after the international break, had gone winless in four consecutive competitive matches prior to that (two draws, two losses) and scored only two goals in total.
We wouldn’t rule out any outcome in this Lombardy derby, which is why we strongly advise against the three-way system. However, in addition to a 0-0 draw—which is far from unlikely—we believe it is highly probable that the match will be decided by a single goal in the end, which is why we find the greatest value in our prediction for Como vs. Inter Milan in a low-scoring match.
