Another reunion after just three weeks

On New Year’s Day, Crystal Palace and Fulham will face each other at Selhurst Park on matchday 19 of the Premier League. Palace are in a slump, having lost four of their last five competitive games. Their last PL win came at the beginning of December with a 2-1 victory over their upcoming opponents from London. This means that the two clubs from the capital are currently not only geographical neighbors but also neighbors in the table – the Eagles are in ninth place and the Cottagers in tenth, with both teams level on 26 points.

Marco Silva’s team is currently in good form and has been particularly accurate in front of goal before the break – they have scored in the first half in six of their last seven games. In our Crystal Palace vs. Fulham prediction, we are once again betting on the Cottagers scoring in the first half.

Crystal Palace have struggled against Fulham for years, especially at home. Since their 2-0 win in February 2019, the Eagles have failed to win or score a single goal in four consecutive Premier League home games against the Cottagers. Overall, the away team in this fixture is unbeaten in the last nine league games, with the visitors recording five wins and four draws. Therefore, in our Crystal Palace vs. Fulham prediction, we are once again betting on the double chance for the visitors at Betano.

The timing is also not in the Eagles’ favor, as the club is still waiting for its first Premier League win on New Year’s Day: in six games, there have been three draws and three defeats, with the last win on this date coming in 1992 against Notts County. In general, their January record at home is poor, with only four wins from their last 20 home games in the Premier League.

Fulham travels to Selhurst Park with a lot of confidence. The Cottagers have won their last three Premier League games and could celebrate a run of four consecutive wins for only the second time in their league history, having last achieved this in the 2022–23 season. Manager Marco Silva is unbeaten in five away games at Palace, keeping a clean sheet every time – a sixth consecutive game without conceding would be historic. We are therefore betting on the Crystal Palace vs. Fulham odds for no goals on either side at 2.05 at Winamax.

Harry Wilson and Raúl Jiménez have been standouts in attack recently. Wilson has been involved in seven goals in the last six league games and has nine goal contributions this season, just one less than in his best Premier League season to date. Jiménez scored the decisive 1-0 goal in each of the last two games and could score in three league games in a row for the first time, with Fulham winning each time. Overall, the current form clearly favors the visitors.

Crystal Palace – Fulham Head-to-head record

Crystal Palace and Fulham have played each other 20 times in competitive matches. Of those, 15 were in the Premier League, four in the Championship, and one in the FA Cup. The record is almost even: both teams have seven wins each, plus six draws. The clubs are also close in terms of goal difference. Crystal Palace has scored a total of 23 goals, while Fulham has a slight advantage with 25 goals.

Crystal Palace – Fulham Tip

According to the Crystal Palace vs. Fulham betting odds from the top bookmakers, Glasner’s team is the favorite going into this match despite their current slump. They won their last match against Fulham three weeks ago, but then lost the next three PL games.

Overall, the Eagles are now winless in five competitive games – as well as in five home games.

Fulham, on the other hand, are in top form and have not conceded a single goal in their last four matches at Selhurst Park. In addition, Fulham coach Silva is unbeaten in five away games at Palace and has also not conceded a goal. Their own offense is also proving to be accurate: the Cottagers have scored in each of their last eight games, six times in the first half in their last seven.
