Can FC Drita pull off the upset?
On Tuesday, July 29, 2025, the second leg of the CL qualifying round will take place between FC Drita (Kosovo) and FC Copenhagen (Denmark). The roles seem to be clearly defined in advance, as the home team has little realistic chance of advancing after losing the first leg 0-2. For this reason, German bookmakers are clearly against a home win in their Drita vs. FC Copenhagen betting tips. The maximum odds for a home win are 8.00. However, the hosts are not without a chance, because if the Kosovans take the lead, the momentum could quickly shift.
In our Drita vs. FC Copenhagen prediction, we take a closer look at both teams and assess how realistic a comeback by the underdogs from Kosovo really is. We start with the home and away records of the two teams and come to a surprising interim conclusion. FCD is incredibly difficult to beat at home, losing only three of their 24 home games in a year. However, there were no big names among them, so we shouldn’t overestimate their home record.
Drita – Statistics & current form
Drita has been one of the best teams in Kosovo in recent years, winning the championship in 2003, 2018, 2020, and 2025. However, FC Prishtina is the record champion with a total of eleven titles. Internationally, however, things have not gone particularly well for Ramadani’s team, as despite their good results at national level, the club has never qualified for one of the three European competitions. Last season, however, the club came closer than ever before, only failing to qualify for the UEFA Conference League in the final round against Legia Warsaw (0-3). So will the club finally make history?
Drita too harmless for long periods
It won’t be enough to qualify for the Champions League, as the Kosovan representative simply lacks the necessary offensive power. This was already evident in the first leg, when FCD only managed to shoot at the opponent’s goal once in 90 minutes. Now the hosts need to score at least two, probably even three goals to have any chance of reaching extra time. In addition, FC Drita lost three of its four top scorers in the summer, Shabani, Baftiu and Prapashtica, and with them a significant amount of quality. Arb Manaj is one of the few players who could pose a threat to the Danes. The striker scored three goals against Differdange.
Drita lacks the necessary stability
Zekirija Ramadani’s team is hardly capable of posing a real threat to the favorites in attack. However, that is not the only reason why it is very unlikely that they will progress against the Danish side. Defensively, FCD lacks the necessary stability, as even against FC Differdange 03, the Kosovans allowed too many chances. In addition, Drita got off lightly in the 0-2 defeat in the first leg against Copenhagen, as the game could easily have ended 0-3 or 0-4. We therefore consider it highly unlikely that keeper Maloku will keep a clean sheet and that the team will reach the third round. This is where the Champions League journey will end.
Drita’s expected line-up:
Maloku – Krasniqi, Bejtulai, Mesa, Ovouka – Broja, Balaj, Limaj, Dabiqaj, Ajzeraj – Manaj
FC Copenhagen – Statistics & current form
Copenhagen improved steadily over the course of last season and ultimately secured the 16th championship title in the club’s history. But that wasn’t all, because in addition to a respectable performance in the Conference League, Jacob “Nees” Neestrup’s team also celebrated winning the Danish Cup. FCK is already the cream of the crop at the national level, so the club naturally wants to prove itself on the international stage and participate in the Champions League after a good preseason. However, there is still a long way to go, because even after their 2-0 win in the first leg, the Danes still have to survive the second leg and at least two more qualifying rounds.
FC Copenhagen in goal-scoring mood
The Danes have made a very good start to the new season and picked up where they left off. With seven goals in their first three competitive games (⌀ 2.33), the “Nees squad” showed themselves to be extremely hungry, yet still missed six big chances. In addition, new signing Youssoufa Moukoko celebrated his first scoring point and set up a goal in the 2-0 win against Vejle. FCK therefore has even more offensive potential than it has shown so far. This could spell trouble for the Danish league and FC Drita, as Copenhagen were virtually unstoppable last season, scoring 100 goals in 55 competitive games. A goal in the second leg seems certain.
FC Copenhagen also improved defensively
With 54 goals conceded in 55 games (⌀ 1.02), the visitors were already very solid last season. However, the club signed three new defenders in the summer in Marcos Lopez, Pantelis Hatzidiakos and Dominik Kotarski, compensating for the departures of Denis Vavro and Kevin Diks. So far, it has been a complete success, as all three players are already integral members of the starting eleven and have ensured that FC Copenhagen has kept a clean sheet in two of their three games. This is one of the reasons why we believe FCK will qualify for the Champions League and are therefore expecting a win in the second leg against FC Drita. This team is extremely interesting!
Predicted line-up for FC Copenhagen:
Kotarski – Huesca, Pereira, Hatzidiakos, Lopez – Lerager, Delaney – Larsson, Mattsson, Elyounoussi – Moukoko
Drita – FC Copenhagen Head-to-head record / H2H record
In the first two paragraphs of our analysis, everything points to a victory for the away team. The Danes are individually superior, in outstanding form and dominated the first leg at will. The H2H comparison paints the same picture, as the 2-0 win in the first leg was the only meeting between these two clubs so far. It is therefore no surprise that the Drita vs. FC Copenhagen betting odds clearly favor a victory for the away team. Currently, there is not a single fact that speaks in favor of the Kosovans.
Drita – FC Copenhagen Tip
We recommend the Drita vs. FC Copenhagen betting tip for a win for the away team in combination with over 1.5 goals in the game. The Kosovans are under considerable pressure after losing the first leg 0-2 and will have to play much more offensively. In our opinion, this is a huge disadvantage, as it will give the Danes much more space. In addition, the Danish side are very stable, so the home team will probably find it very difficult to break them down. The hosts’ heads will drop after the visitors score the first goal at the latest. We therefore consider a clear and comfortable victory for the Danes to be very likely.
Alternatively, we recommend the Drita vs. FC Copenhagen odds for “Both teams to score: No.” The Kosovans were far too harmless in the first leg and only managed to get one shot on goal. Furthermore, we are pretty sure that any belief in a comeback will be shattered after the first goal. We also consider a clean sheet to be very unrealistic, as the home side lacks the necessary quality in defense.
