Will the Cottagers end their inglorious streak?

Fulham FC has lost all of its last 18 competitive matches against Manchester City, which is the longest losing streak by any club against a single opponent in the history of English soccer. The Cottagers are therefore highly motivated to finally end this negative streak, for which a draw would be enough.

Fulham’s recent home record suggests that the Whites will get the point they need against Manchester City. The Londoners have won four of their last five Premier League home games at Craven Cottage (one defeat).

In fact, the Sky Blues seem quite vulnerable, at least away from home. Manchester City are only ninth in the Premier League away table, picking up just seven points from six away games with only eight goals scored. In addition, the Cottagers have the second-strongest home defense in the English top flight, conceding only three goals in six games (only Arsenal have conceded fewer – two). However, as we still don’t believe in another Fulham home win, but against this backdrop it shouldn’t be too high-scoring, the match combo on double chance X2 with under 3.5 goals makes the most sense.

An alternative approach, which also takes into account the Cottagers’ recent home strength, is the positive handicap on the home side. The most promising option seems to be the Asian line of +1.25 on the Londoners, which covers a wide range of eventualities. In the handy Bet365 app, this bet on Fulham vs. Manchester City can be placed at odds of 1.55.

Fulham – Manchester City Head-to-head record

Head to head: 17 – 16 – 43

A total of 76 matches have already taken place between the two clubs, with Manchester City leading the head-to-head record very clearly with 43 wins. The Sky Blues have won all of their last 18 competitive matches against Fulham FC, including 15 Premier League games in a row. Both are unique winning streaks in the history of English soccer. No other club has celebrated more victories against a single club in competitive and/or Premier League games to date.

Fulham – Manchester City Tip

Although the Cottagers have won four of their last five Premier League home games, Fulham are priced at 5.00 to win their next home game against Manchester City, making them clear underdogs going into this home game. Their 18-game losing streak against the Sky Blues weighs too heavily, but the latter have struggled recently, especially away from home, scoring only eight goals and winning just two of their six Premier League away games in the 2025/26 season.

The Londoners also have the second-best home defense in the Premier League, conceding only three goals in six home games, so we certainly can’t assume that the Whites will be crushed at their home ground, Craven Cottage. The double chance X2 with under 3.5 goals is therefore a very promising prediction for Fulham against Manchester City, which does not rule out a possible point for Marco Silva’s strong home team.
