One week after the official start of competitive play in the ÖFB Cup, the Austrian Bundesliga also opens its doors. The first matchday brings with it an interesting encounter between two teams that embarrassed themselves in the cup. Grazer AK lost 0-1 to Dornbirn and, like Wiener Austria, who suffered a sensational 2-3 defeat to Voitsberg, had to throw in the towel against a lower-ranked club.
