Will the Gers’ downward spiral continue?

Even under new coach Danny Röhl, Glasgow Rangers simply cannot seem to turn things around. After suffering a 3-0 defeat at Brann Bergen in the Europa League in their first competitive game under the German coach, two league wins on Sunday in the Scottish League Cup were followed by a defeat in the Old Firm against city rivals Celtic (3-1 after extra time).

Internationally, the Light Blues have lost all of their last six games – their longest losing streak in club history. Accordingly, there is little to suggest that Glasgow Rangers will win at home against AS Roma.

Admittedly, the Giallorossi have not covered themselves in glory since their opening win in Nice (2-1), losing first to Lille OSC (0-1) and then to Viktoria Plzen (1-2) at their home stadium, the Stadio Olimpico. Overall, however, things are not going badly for the Wolves, who are fourth in Serie A and can even dream of Champions League qualification again. Despite losing their dress rehearsal at AC Milan (0-1), we are inclined to predict that Gian Piero Gasperini’s team will return to winning ways with an away victory at Ibrox Stadium against the struggling Scots.

On the other hand, anyone who thinks they have seen positive signs in the last three games under Danny Röhl, which followed the 0-3 defeat in Bergen, can alternatively bet that there won’t be too many goals at Ibrox Stadium. Under their new coach, the Giallorossi have played a more defensive style, conceding only five goals in ten Serie A games in the 2025/26 season, but also scoring only ten goals themselves.

The tip for under 2.5 goals can be placed on Glasgow Rangers vs. AS Roma at odds of 1.95 via the user-friendly Bet-at-home app. On the other hand, those who would at least rule out a home win for the Gers can also choose the match combo on double chance X2 with under 3.5 goals at Betano at odds of 1.72.

Glasgow Rangers – AS Roma Head-to-head comparison / H2H record

Head to head: 0 – 0 – 0

The two traditional clubs have never before crossed paths in an international competitive match. Surprisingly, there is therefore no head-to-head data available that could influence our tip one way or the other for Glasgow Rangers vs. AS Roma.

Glasgow Rangers – AS Roma Tip

Considering that Glasgow Rangers have lost their last six European competitive games and are currently bottom of the Europa League group stage with zero points and a goal difference of 1:6, there is very little to suggest that the Light Blues will now beat AS Roma of all teams.

Rather, we believe that the Giallorossi, who have lost two Europa League games in a row, will now build on their 2-1 opening win in Nice and take all three points from Ibrox Stadium.
