Another setback for La Dea?
Two weeks ago, the mood at Atalanta Bergamo was still electric. “La Dea” turned a 0-2 loss at Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League Round of 16 playoffs into a spectacular 4-1 home victory and became the only Serie A club to reach the top 16—in stark contrast to the Biscione (meaning “the viper”), which fell to Bodø/Glimt.
Now, however, the Bergamaschi were crushed 1-6 at home against Bayern and would need one of the greatest miracles in Champions League history at the Allianz Arena to avoid elimination. Before that, however, the prediction that the Orobici will suffer another setback against Atalanta Bergamo at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium looks promising.
Although Atalanta Bergamo has matured into a Lombardy powerhouse, “La Dea” has rarely had much to show for itself in Lombardy derbies against Inter Milan. The Orobici have been waiting for a win against Inter for 16 matches now (five draws, eleven losses). They have lost all of the last nine matches, failing to score a single goal in the last five. Accordingly, the tip is that the Biscione will secure another three points in front of their home crowd and redeem themselves for the lost Derby della Madonnina. Since a narrow 1-0 win is unlikely, we’re combining Tip 1 with a bet on over 1.5 goals for a small odds boost.
It is unlikely that Raffaele Palladino will make too many changes, as the team certainly won’t need a fresh starting lineup for next Tuesday’s Champions League second leg at Bayern, given the deficit from the first leg. However, Tuesday night’s heavy defeat also took its toll, which is why a hungry Inter side—eager to leave no doubt that their seven-point lead over AC Milan should be enough to win the Scudetto—certainly has the potential for a rout. After all, Inter has already scored 64 goals in 28 Serie A matches—the highest total in the league.
Inter Milan – Atalanta Head-to-Head Record
Head-to-Head: 81 – 36 – 27
A total of 144 matches have already taken place between the two Lombardy clubs, and with 81 wins, Inter Milan clearly leads the head-to-head record. The team from the fashion capital hasn’t lost to Atalanta Bergamo since 2018. The last nine derbies have all gone to the Biscione, who most recently even recorded five consecutive shutout victories against “La Dea.”

Inter Milan – Atalanta Bergamo Prediction
The undisputed leader of Serie A takes on the seventh-place team, who arrive in the neighboring fashion capital on a four-game winless streak in competitive play (two draws, two losses) and suffered a veritable debacle in the Champions League midweek.
Given this situation, there is little to suggest that Atalanta Bergamo will pick up a point against Inter Milan, especially since “La Dea” has gone 16 competitive matches without a win against Inter (five draws, eleven losses) and has lost all of its last nine Lombardy derbies against the Milanese, who also play in black and blue.
Although the Biscione have failed to score in their last two competitive matches in a row, Inter’s offense remains potent enough—with 64 goals in 28 Serie A matches—that it could potentially be painful for the visitors once again. In this context, we recommend the Match Combo of Tip 1 and the bet on over 1.5 goals.
