An easy draw for the Bulgarian champions?

The reigning Bulgarian champions welcome the current title holders from Belarus. Curiously, this duel already took place just under a year ago, back then in the second round of the CL qualifiers. For us, the question is of course whether the Bulgarians can prevail again or whether there will be revenge for the Belarusians. Looking at the odds from German bookmakers for a Ludogorets Razgrad vs. Dinamo Minsk tip, however, a surprise seems rather unlikely. But why is that?

We want to find out in our Ludogorets Razgrad vs. Dinamo Minsk prediction and take a closer look at both teams. The most obvious reason for the clear division of roles is the individual class. The Bulgarians have three players in their ranks, Tekpetey, Piotrowski and Vidal, who have a market value of between €4 million and €4.5 million. By comparison, the most valuable player in the Belarusian squad is Vadim Pigas, who is worth just €600,000.

Bookmakers such as Oddset agree and are offering us maximum odds of only 1.33. However, these odds are not really lucrative, because even with a stake of 100 euros, we would only make a profit of 33 euros. The risk and reward are therefore out of proportion. We have therefore made it our task to gather facts about this game and then present you with the best possible Ludogorets Razgrad vs. Dinamo Minsk tip. To do this, we will now look at the two teams separately and analyze their strengths and weaknesses. We are excited to see what conclusion we come to.

Ludogorets Razgrad – Statistics & current form

Ludogorets Razgrad is by far the best team in Bulgaria and celebrated its 14th consecutive league title last season. This means that the Bulgarians currently have the longest winning streak in Europe and are even approaching the world record (15 titles in Vanuatu). The Eagles are unrivalled in their domestic league, but how do they fare on the international stage? Success has eluded them so far, with only two Champions League appearances in 13 attempts, a rather sobering record. In ten of the remaining eleven attempts, however, Rui Mota’s team did at least qualify for the Europa League. Where will this season take them?

Ludogorets Razgrad are the favorites

This question is difficult to answer and naturally depends on the upcoming opponents. However, the Bulgarian representatives have a good chance in the match against Dinamo Minsk. The individual class of the Bulgarians is significantly higher than that of the Belarusian champions, and this can also be proven with figures. Razgrad’s squad is worth €54.50 million, more than seven times the market value of their guests. This is mainly due to the fact that the club has been owned by Bulgarian pharmaceutical entrepreneur Kiril Domuschiev, a hundredfold millionaire, since 2010. This has enabled the club to make significant investments and develop structurally. Today, Ludogorets even has one of the most modern training facilities in Eastern Europe.

Ludogorets Razgrad must rise above itself

There are hardly any challenges left for Rui Mota’s team at the national level, as the 2024/25 season was almost perfect after winning the championship, the cup and the Bulgarian Super Cup. However, this dominance is rarely seen on the international stage, and so “the Eagles” not only missed out on Champions League qualification, but also went down without a fight in the Europa League. Out of a total of 16 games (CL and EL) on the European stage, the Bulgarians won only five. Ludogorets scored a total of 19 goals, but also conceded 23. Defensively, the team often lacks the necessary stability.

Predicted line-up:

Padt – Son, Kurtulus, Almeida, Yordanov – Piotrowski, Marcus, Camara, Kaloc, Tekpetey – Vidal

Dinamo Minsk – Statistics & current form

Dinamo Minsk secured their place in the Champions League qualifying round by winning the Belarusian championship. However, we cannot talk about national dominance for the visiting team, as with only nine championships (plus one Soviet title), there is one club that has been significantly more successful in history: BATE Borisov. In addition, the Belarusians have never reached the Champions League, playing only twice in the Europa League and once in the Conference League. Internationally, Vadim Skripchenko’s team is therefore significantly more experienced than their upcoming opponents. So will their Champions League journey end in the first round?

Dinamo Minsk with problems

It is relatively likely that the journey will end in the first round, as the Belarusian representative is only fourth in the domestic league with 29 points from 15 games and already has ten points less than ML Vitebsk. This comes as quite a surprise, as the current league leaders are a newly promoted team. So if a team that was in the second division last year is capable of stealing the show from Dinamo Minsk at the national level, then the best team in Bulgaria by far should definitely be able to win this game. It’s not just individual class that speaks against the visitors, but also their form.

Dinamo Minsk has nothing to celebrate away from home

However, there is another reason why we think it is unlikely that the away team will get any points. Vadim Skripchenko’s team has only picked up eight points from seven away games in the Vysshaya Liga and is therefore only 12th in the away table. In addition, Minsk has scored only five goals on the road and has failed to score in three of those games. Compared to the home record of the hosts, who have not lost a single league game at home in 2024/25, this is of course alarmingly weak. This gives us reason number three why the home team is rightly favored by the bookmakers.

Predicted line-up:
Shpakovsky – Pigas, Begunov, Gavrilovich, Apetenok, Ibrahim – Miakish, Abdullahi – Bakic, Vardanyan, Malashevich

PFK Ludogorets Razgrad – Dinamo Minsk Head-to-head record

In the first two sections, the Bulgarians seem to have the better chances of winning, but what does a look at the head-to-head record tell us? The H2H comparison does not really confirm this, as both teams won one game each and are therefore on par on paper.

Since the two matches took place in July 2024, just under a year ago, the results are still relevant for the upcoming game. This is probably also the reason why the Ludogorets Razgrad vs. Dinamo Minsk betting odds do not favor a home win more clearly.

PFK Ludogorts Razgrad – Dinamo Minsk Tip

Taking all the above factors into account, there is not a single reason to believe that the away team will win. Minsk not only has a significantly weaker squad, but is also in much poorer form and relatively weak away from home. With three defeats in their last four competitive games, the Belarusians will also lack the confidence to hold their own against a much stronger opponent. We therefore expect a one-sided game and recommend the Ludogorets Razgrad vs. Dinamo Minsk betting tip for a home win in combination with under 4.5 goals in the game.

Alternatively, you can also add the Ludogorets Razgrad vs. Dinamo Minsk odds for “both teams to score – no” to your betting slip. This is primarily because Vadim Skripchenko’s team has only scored 15 goals in 15 league games and now faces a much stronger opponent. In addition, this recommendation would also have been correct in the two previous encounters between these two teams. That sounds very promising.
