Will the Veltri win the Supercoppa for the first time?
After the Supercoppa Italia was played in Saudi Arabia a year ago in a Derby della Madonnina final, the audience in Riyadh was denied a repeat of the Milan city derby this year. Instead, we will see a virtually genuine Super Cup, as the champions and cup winners will now face each other in the grand final after their semifinal victories against the Milan teams.
According to the bookmakers, the odds are higher for a victory for Napoli against Bologna, who have already won the Supercoppa twice (in 1990 and 2014). For the Emiliani, it would be their first triumph in this competition.
We are leaning towards the Veltri (meaning “greyhounds”), who recorded a 2-0 victory over champions Napoli in Serie A six weeks ago, inflicting one of only four league defeats on the Partenopei this season. However, as both teams defend very well and have conceded only 13 goals each in 15 Serie A games, we are avoiding any entanglements with the three-way system and recommend betting on a maximum of two goals being scored in regular time. Incidentally, that would also have been the case in both semi-final matches of the 2025/26 Supercoppa Italiana.
It is also interesting to note that only one of the last five meetings between the two teams has seen goals scored by both sides. Although a 1-1 result is certainly realistic in this matchup, the potential for a single goal to decide the final is enormous with two very defensively minded teams. So if you’re willing to take a slightly higher risk for the chance of higher winnings, you can bet on a maximum of one team scoring in the match between Napoli and Bologna at odds of 1.85 via the handy Betano app.
Napoli – Bologna Head-to-head comparison / H2H record
Head to head: 61 – 43 – 49
A total of 153 matches have already taken place between the two teams, with SSC Napoli leading the head-to-head comparison with 61 wins. Not only did the Partenopei suffer a 0-2 defeat against Bologna FC on matchday 11 of Serie A, but overall, the Rossoblù have lost only one of their last six competitive games against the reigning champions (two wins, three draws).
Napoli – Bologna Tip
Although the betting odds of the top bookmakers are leaning towards the Partenopei in the match between Napoli and Bologna, the Campania-based team has won only one of its last six competitive matches against Bologna FC (three draws, two defeats), which just beat the reigning champions 2-0 in Serie A on November 9. The Rossoblù are also very solid defensively and have conceded more than one goal in only one of their last twelve competitive games across all competitions.
However, the Azzurri also know very well how to defend effectively. In their 2-0 semi-final win over AC Milan, the Campanians once again kept a clean sheet. Overall, both opponents in the 2025/26 Supercoppa Italiana final have conceded only 13 goals in 15 Serie A games. We therefore recommend betting on a maximum of two goals being scored in regular time in the match between Napoli and Bologna. Bet-at-home is offering odds of 1.65 for under 2.5 goals, which we are betting on with five out of ten units.
