Will the Azules’ downward spiral continue?
Promoted Real Oviedo continues to struggle in La Liga. The Azules have picked up just nine points from their first 14 games, scoring only seven goals – the lowest tally in the league. As a result, the Asturians are bottom of the table and heading for immediate relegation.
However, they now face a team at the Estadio Carlos Tartiere that has lost six of its seven away games in La Liga 2025/26 (one win). Nevertheless, our prediction for Oviedo vs. Mallorca is that the Pirates will pick up a point.
After all, RCD Mallorca recorded a 3-2 away win at Numancia in the Copa del Rey during the week and is therefore traveling to Asturias in good form. The Bermellones have lost only two of their last eight competitive games (four wins, two draws). However, the Pirates have also struggled to score goals, which is why the most sensible option in the Oviedo vs. Mallorca prediction is to avoid ruling anything out and to bypass the three-way system by betting on under 2.5 goals.
Nevertheless, the record clearly favors the visitors, who have lost only one of their last 19 competitive games against Real Oviedo (seven wins, eleven draws). With a tendency toward draws that cannot be dismissed, it would be quite conceivable to bet on double chance X2 with under 3.5 goals.
Oviedo – Mallorca Head-to-head record / H2H record
Head to head: 9 – 17 – 21
The two teams have met 47 times in competitive matches so far, with RCD Mallorca leading the head-to-head record very clearly with 21 wins. The Pirates are currently unbeaten in five meetings with the Azules (two wins, three draws) and have lost only one of their last 19 competitive games against Real Oviedo (seven wins, eleven draws).

Oviedo – Mallorca Tip
Remarkably, the betting odds from the top bookmakers are leaning slightly towards the home side in Oviedo vs. Mallorca, which we cannot agree with. Not only have the Azules failed to score in any of their last four competitive games, but with only seven goals from 14 league games, they also have by far the weakest offense in La Liga.
In our view, the Asturian side are unlikely to manage more than a 0-0 or perhaps a 1-1 draw, even though the visitors from the Balearic Islands have lost six of their seven La Liga away games and, with 14 goals conceded, have the second-weakest away defense behind Valencia (16).
Overall, however, the three-way system is too risky in this game, which is why our tip for Oviedo vs. Mallorca is to bet on under goals. While the Azules have major deficits in their forward play, the Pirates are unlikely to put on an offensive fireworks display in this away game and thus run the risk of being counterattacked.
