Another setback for the Azules?
After Real Oviedo returned to the country’s top flight via the La Liga 2 playoffs this summer, the signs continue to point to immediate relegation, even after the change of coach at the beginning of October. In La Liga, they have won only one of their last seven games (one draw, five defeats) and during the week they even suffered a sobering 2-4 defeat in the Copa del Rey against third-division side Ourense CF. Against this backdrop, there is little to suggest that Oviedo will beat Osasuna at home.
Home form is also a major factor. The promoted team has lost four of its first five La Liga home games (one win) at the Estadio Carlos Tartiere, conceding ten goals (an average of two per game) and scoring only two goals in total. However, the visitors from Pamplona are also struggling to score goals, with only nine goals from ten league games. Because the trend is still in favor of the Rojillos, we recommend the double chance X2 with under 3.5 goals in what is likely to be a low-scoring match.
If, despite their embarrassing cup exit, you wouldn’t rule out the possibility of the newly promoted team from Asturias finally turning the tide in this home game, you can alternatively bet on under 2.5 goals instead of the suggested match combo.
Oviedo – Osasuna Head-to-head record
Head to head: 25 – 11 – 19
A total of 55 matches have already taken place between the two clubs, with Real Oviedo leading the head-to-head record with 25 wins. Recently, however, the Rojillos have had the upper hand, winning four of the last eight matches against the Azules (two draws, two defeats). However, both of CA Osasuna’s defeats came in their last two away games at the Estadio Carlos Tartiere, which should at least give the newly promoted Asturian side some encouragement.

Oviedo – Osasuna Tip
All in all, our prediction for Oviedo vs. Osasuna is that the visitors from Pamplona will take a point, even though they have not been able to build on their strong ninth place finish in the 2024/25 season and have won only one of their last six league games (one draw, four defeats). However, the Rojillos are now visiting a team that is in very poor form and embarrassed themselves against a third-division team in the Copa del Rey during the week, while Osasuna themselves gained fresh confidence with a 5-0 win at CA Sant Jordi.
In any case, a goal fest is not to be expected at the Estadio Carlos Tartiere. The Azules have scored just two goals in five home games and have particular weaknesses in attack, while the visitors from Pamplona have scored just nine goals in their first ten league games, averaging less than one goal per game. A 0-0 draw is therefore a realistic possibility.
We recommend the combined bet on double chance X2 with under 3.5 goals, which can be placed at Betano at odds of 1.70 for Oviedo against Osasuna.
