Will the Granotes continue their upward trend in Madrid?

Rayo Vallecano is currently representing La Liga in the UEFA Conference League and took a big step toward the quarterfinals on Thursday night with a 3-1 away win at Samsunspor.

While the full focus is now on the second leg, the dress rehearsal certainly shouldn’t be botched. However, a home win for the Franjirrojos against Levante is by no means a sure thing. After all, the visitors from Valencia have gone unbeaten in their last two matches (one win, one draw).

The Granotes (meaning “the Frogs”) still desperately need more points in Madrid. The Valencians are four points short of safety. A small ray of hope: Levante secured three of their five wins this season on the road. With 15 away goals, the promoted side was also more dangerous in front of goal on the road than teams like Atlético Madrid (13). Since we still don’t believe they’ll secure an away win against the in-form Franjirrojos, but at the same time expect a high-scoring match, we recommend the Match Combo on the Double Chance 1X with over 1.5 goals.

It’s also by no means out of the question that the match at the Campo de Fútbol de Vallecas will be a real goal fest. After all, this matchup has rarely been known for low-scoring games. In nine of the last ten meetings between the two clubs, there have always been over 2.5 goals, which is a serious alternative, especially since the top bookmakers are offering strong odds for a high-scoring match in Rayo Vallecano vs. Levante.

Rayo Vallecano – Levante Head-to-Head Record

Head-to-Head: 13 – 11 – 15

A total of 39 matches have taken place between the two teams so far, and with 15 wins, UD Levante actually leads the head-to-head record. Although the Granotes lost the first leg at home by a clear 0-3 margin, they had previously gone three matches in a row without a loss against Rayo Vallecano (two wins, one draw). In their most recent away match at El Campo de Fútbol de Vallecas, the team from Spain’s east coast even managed a 4–2 away win.

Rayo Vallecano – Levante Prediction

Although the team from Spain’s east coast has regained hope in the relegation battle by earning four out of a possible six points from their last two league matches, they are still four points short of safety, which is why our prediction for Rayo Vallecano vs. Levante still favors the home side.

The players from Madrid’s Vallecas district celebrated a 3-1 victory at Samsunspor during the week, opening the door wide to the Conference League quarterfinals. In La Liga as well, the in-form Franjirrojos haven’t lost any of their last five matches (two wins, three draws).

Since goals are definitely expected in this matchup and we believe the visitors from Valencia are capable of at least a draw, we recommend the combined bet on Double Chance 1X with over 1.5 goals. Betano is offering odds of 1.53 for Rayo Vallecano vs. Levante, which we’re backing with six out of ten units.
