Can the Gialloblu keep their pursuers at bay?

Turin FC, currently in 15th place in the Serie A table with 30 points, isn’t quite out of the woods yet. “Il Toro” (The Bull) has lost four of its last six competitive matches (one win, one draw), which is why there was yet another coaching change. After initially securing a 2-0 home win over Lazio Rome under Roberto D’Aversa, the team suffered a 1-2 away loss to SSC Napoli in its last league match.

The outlook for a home win by the Granata in the Turin FC vs. Parma match is not particularly promising. After all, the visitors from Emilia-Romagna have not lost any of their last five league matches (three wins, two draws).

By earning 11 out of a possible 15 points from their last five matches, Parma Calcio has also built a comfortable 10-point lead over the first relegation spot. Away in Piedmont, the Gialloblu certainly won’t be going in headfirst. A draw would undoubtedly be a top result, allowing them to keep not only a pursuer but also the relegation zone in general at bay. In our Torino FC vs. Parma prediction, we expect a defensive approach, making a low-scoring match very likely. Our main tip is for under 2.5 goals.

It is striking that Parma Calcio sits in twelfth place in the table, even though they have scored just 20 goals in the first 28 matchdays of Serie A—the lowest total in the league. This is possible because they have also conceded only 32 goals, with eight of those 32 coming in their recent losses to Atalanta Bergamo (0-4) and Juventus (1-4). In five of their last nine Serie A matches, the Gialloblu have kept a clean sheet.

Turin FC – Parma Head-to-Head Record

Head-to-head: 10 – 16 – 16

A total of 42 matches have been played between the two teams so far, and Parma Calcio leads the head-to-head record with 16 wins.

The Gialloblu already won the first leg in Emilia-Romagna 2-1 and have been unbeaten in their last three matches against Torino FC (one win, two draws). Meanwhile, the last Serie A match between the two teams in Piedmont ended in a 0-0 draw.

Turin FC – Parma Prediction

While the coaching change at “Il Toro” has certainly had an impact, as evidenced by the 2-0 win over Lazio Rome in their last home game. Nevertheless, the Granata are not out of the woods yet and now face a difficult home game, which is why we are quite surprised that the betting odds from top bookmakers for Torino FC vs. Parma are leaning toward the home team.

The visitors from Emilia-Romagna are not only unbeaten in their last three meetings with the team from Piedmont (one win, two draws), but they also haven’t lost any of their last five Serie A matches (three wins, two draws). Among other things, the Gialloblu handed AC Milan their second loss of the season (1-0).

In five of their last nine Serie A matches, the Gialloblu have also kept a clean sheet, although their defensive solidity has often come at the expense of offensive firepower. Their mere 20 goals scored represent the league’s lowest total, making a bet on a low-scoring Friday night match between Torino FC and Parma very promising.
