Will the Blanquinegros overtake the Andalusians?

After a disastrous start to the season, Valencia CF has recently managed to pull itself out of the crisis. The Blanquinegros remain unbeaten in three consecutive games (one win, two draws) and have climbed to 15th place. If Valencia beat Sevilla at home, the Murciélagos (the Bats) are guaranteed to overtake the struggling Andalusian side, who are currently in 13th place with 16 points but have lost five of their last six league games, conceding at least two goals in each of those defeats.

The Nervionenses face a difficult task at Camp de Mestalla, where Valencia CF have conceded only six goals in seven La Liga home games in the 2025/26 season, losing only two games (three wins, two draws). Most recently, the Blanquinegros also managed a 1-0 home win in the derby against Levante – a result that we consider realistic now as well. Nevertheless, Valencia has repeatedly struggled this season, especially with scoring goals.

In addition, although Sevilla no longer exudes the charisma of the Europa League record winners, they are by no means a walkover. Against this backdrop, we are avoiding the three-way system and instead betting on the Valencia vs. Sevilla prediction that a maximum of two goals will be scored on the Spanish east coast.

Those who would not rule out a possible third goal could alternatively consider betting on the match combo of double chance 1X with under 3.5 goals.

Valencia – Sevilla Head-to-head record / H2H balance

Head to head: 86 – 36 – 73

The two teams have met 195 times so far, with Valencia CF leading the head-to-head record very clearly with 86 wins.

The Blanquinegros are currently unbeaten in four La Liga matches against Sevilla FC (two wins, two draws) and also won their last home game at Camp de Mestalla 1-0 against the Nervionenses.

Valencia – Sevilla Tip

Although our prediction for Valencia vs. Sevilla leans slightly towards the Blanquinegros, who are strong at home, especially as the visitors from Andalusia are currently out of form and have lost five of their last six league games (one win).

Nevertheless, the Nervionenses have a lot of quality in their squad and have already won three away games in La Liga in 2025/26 – including a 1-0 win at Rayo Vallecano, who are currently ninth in the table.

In our opinion, the safest option is therefore to bet on a maximum of two goals at Camp de Mestalla, where the Murciélagos have conceded only six goals in seven La Liga home games, but have also scored only nine goals themselves.
