How much time does Arne Slot have left with the Reds?

How long will Liverpool Football Club stick with its championship coach Arne Slot? This is currently the most frequently asked question regarding the Reds. The reigning Premier League champions are lagging well behind their own expectations, have been in a serious crisis since last week at the latest, and are currently showing no signs of being able to extricate themselves from their predicament in any way.

The star ensemble from the city of the Beatles is faltering alarmingly and threatens to fall painfully once again on Sunday. Although LFC are once again considered the clear favorites when they visit the capital, recent impressions have shown that one should be rather cautious about betting on the slot team even before West Ham’s game against Liverpool.

Florian Wirtz and Co. have reached a new low since Wednesday. While the 3-0 defeat at Manchester City before the international break was accepted with gritted teeth, the 3-0 home defeat to Nottingham and the embarrassing 4-1 thrashing at Anfield Road against PSV Eindhoven have almost completely extinguished many fans’ belief that the current coach can turn things around. The Reds have lost nine of their last eleven (!) competitive games. Twelfth place in the English top flight is the sad reality.

Anyone who still wants to make a prediction for LFC in the West Ham vs. Liverpool match on the 13th matchday of the Premier League this weekend will have to look to the opponent for their arguments. The Hammers have also had a disappointing season so far and are only not in a relegation spot because of their superior goal difference. Recently, however, new coach Nuno Espirito Santo has brought about a noticeable improvement in form at the capital club.

WHU has picked up seven points from its last three PL games and also won its last two home games against Newcastle United and Burnley. Last week’s 2-2 draw at Bournemouth was also considered a respectable result. The Londoners have scored at least two goals in three consecutive games. In my opinion, anything is possible against the Reds’ defense, which is currently completely unsettled.

Because the over 2.5 has come in in WHU’s last four Premier League games and both teams have always scored, I am confident that the odds for at least three goals in the game will also come in on Sunday in the West Ham vs. Liverpool match. I think it is quite unlikely that the Reds will go without scoring for a third consecutive league game. At Betano, you can get odds of 1.55 for over 2.5 goals.

West Ham – Liverpool Head-to-head comparison / H2H record

Games against Liverpool Football Club have not been particularly good for West Ham United in recent years. Of the last 18 meetings in the English top flight, the Irons have won only one.

There have been 14 (!) defeats during this period. Liverpool have been guests at the new London Stadium nine times so far. The Reds have scored an impressive 25 goals, averaging almost three per game. In general, the Hammers seem to be a welcome opponent for Liverpool to build their confidence. After all, Liverpool have scored five goals against the capital club in three of their last five direct encounters. However, it is unlikely that they will score quite as many on Sunday.

West Ham – Liverpool Tip

In the long history of the Premier League, Liverpool have never conceded as many goals after twelve matchdays as they have now (20). The Reds have conceded at least three goals in three consecutive competitive games. Against West Ham, I don’t believe the Slot XI will keep a clean sheet again.

This is especially true given that the Hammers have scored at least twice in three consecutive games and have gained some confidence thanks to two home wins in a row. The betting odds of 1.53 for both teams to score are therefore interesting ahead of the West Ham vs. Liverpool match!

Basically, there is potential for a surprise in this matchup. Liverpool seem completely unsettled, have lost their self-confidence and have lost nine of their last eleven competitive games. With a little appetite for risk, the double chance 1X is therefore worth considering.

Ultimately, however, I’m sticking with my prediction of a high-scoring encounter and am betting on over 2.5 goals between West Ham and Liverpool at 1.55 with Betano.
