Who mixes concrete better?

We’re talking about the match between Juventus and AS Roma. The fifth-placed team faces the fourth-placed team, with the capital club already four points ahead of the Old Lady in the standings. However, for my favorite Juventus vs. AS Roma tip, it doesn’t matter who leaves the pitch as the winner. Instead, my focus is on the number of goals to be expected.

More specifically, there are many reasons to believe that a prediction of under goals will pay off in the Juventus vs. AS Roma match. After all, two of the most stable defenses in the Italian top flight are facing each other. Nevertheless, a distinction must be made here, as Roma have conceded six fewer goals than Turin.

Coach Gian Piero Gasperini’s team has conceded only eight goals in total and kept a clean sheet seven times. Conversely, this also means that “La Magica” has never conceded more than one goal in the current Serie A season. On twelve of the 15 match days, a bet on under 2.5 goals in games involving the Giallorossi would have paid off.

However, given that the odds for a maximum of two goals in the game between Juventus and AS Roma are not particularly lucrative, I will try to narrow down the period under consideration on Saturday evening even further.

The Juventus vs. AS Roma betting odds for a completely goalless first half are particularly interesting here. Not only does Roma have the best defense in the first 45 minutes, but the fact that the opponents have only scored eight and seven goals respectively before the break supports my assumption of a relatively uneventful first half.

Since I inevitably expect few goals at Juventus Stadium, this logically increases the probability of a draw after 90 minutes.

Juventus – AS Roma Head-to-head comparison / H2H record

A look at the latest results shows that goals have been few and far between in this fixture in the past. 2022 was the last time either team scored more than two goals in a head-to-head match. In the last six encounters, however, one goal was always enough to earn a point.

In six out of six cases, the under 2.5 would also have been successful. The teams have drawn three times in a row recently. In three of the last six matches, the score was 0-0 at half-time. Juventus have not lost a home game against Roma since 2020. The Old Lady is also unbeaten at home in the current 2025/26 season.

Juventus – AS Roma Tip

Gian Piero Gasperini’s influence is becoming increasingly apparent at AS Roma. The Giallorossi defend intensively man-to-man across the entire pitch, making them the best defense in Serie A this season.

Just eight goals conceded testify to a certain compactness and desire to defend against opposing attacks. Even without Evan Ndicka, who has left for the Africa Cup of Nations, I expect the fourth-placed team from the Eternal City to prove their stability once again this weekend.

Basically, I expect a duel between two evenly matched teams, characterized by good work against the ball. So, ahead of the top match between Juventus and AS Roma, I’m going for a 0-0 score at halftime. I’m betting four fictitious units on the 2.50 odds offered by Bet-at-home.

Although the home side has yet to suffer a defeat at home at the national level, I definitely think the visitors from the capital are capable of getting at least one point (DCX2 at 1.80). Ultimately, I wouldn’t be surprised if the points were shared in Turin on Saturday evening (X at 3.30).
