Will the Rossoneri get back on track?

AC Milan trails city rival and league leader Inter Milan by eight points, which is remarkable given that the Rossoneri secured all six points against the Nerazzurri in their head-to-head matchups. Not only did “Il Diavolo” fail to get past a draw time and again, but most recently, at the absolute worst possible time, they suffered two defeats against Parma and Lazio Rome (both 0-1).

Had they secured the full six points here—which would definitely have been expected against teams from the middle of the pack in Serie A—the battle for the Scudetto would currently be exciting. If, on the other hand, AC Milan’s bet on a home win against Torino FC doesn’t pay off, it might be all over for them.

The Granata are a thoroughly manageable opponent coming to San Siro. “Il Toro” (the Bull) has won only three of 14 Serie A away games (four draws, seven losses), scoring just 13 goals on the road. Most recently, they suffered a crushing 0-3 defeat against Genoa CFC in a basement battle. And yet: Torino FC has won two of their last four league matches against the Rossoneri (one draw, one loss) and isn’t coming to the Italian fashion capital without a fighting chance. In what is likely to be a low-scoring match, we’d therefore like to at least cover the draw and recommend the Match Combo on Double Chance 1X with under 3.5 goals.

Those who don’t want to categorically rule out a possible away win by the Granata—who have, however, lost three of their last five league matches (two wins)—can alternatively bet on a neutral outcome of a maximum of two goals in the match. For this, Winamax is offering odds of 2.00 for AC Milan vs. Torino FC, which certainly promise value.

AC Milan – Torino FC Head-to-Head Record

Head-to-Head: 78 – 67 – 56

A total of 201 matches have taken place between the two teams so far, and with 78 wins, AC Milan leads the head-to-head record by a wide margin. The Rossoneri also won the first leg in Piedmont 3-2, but prior to that, they failed to beat Torino FC in three consecutive matches (one draw, two losses). The last home game at San Siro against Torino ended in a 2–2 draw on August 17, 2024.

AC Milan – Torino Prediction

Basically, our prediction for AC Milan vs. Turin FC is a home win for the Rossoneri, who, however, have recently fallen off the radar despite another victory in the city derby against league leaders Inter Milan, due to two 0-1 losses to Parma and Lazio Rome. Two bitter setbacks from which the Lombards must first recover.

The home game against the Granata, who struggle on the road, will therefore not be a sure thing, especially since only one of the last four Serie A matches against the historic club from Piedmont ended in a victory (one draw, two losses).

However, considering that the Granata have scored only 13 goals in 14 away matches and the Rossoneri, in turn, boast the best defense in Italy’s top flight with just 21 goals conceded in 29 Serie A matches, it wouldn’t be too surprising if the Lombards manage to keep a clean sheet at San Siro. The many resulting possibilities can be covered with a combined bet on the Double Chance 1X with under 3.5 goals.

For this, the Betano app offers odds of 1.57 for AC Milan vs. Torino FC, which we’re betting six out of ten units on.
