Will Udinese be rewarded for an attacking performance?

At first glance, the Turin FC vs. Udinese matchup is a clash between two teams sitting next to each other in the standings, each having earned four points after five matchdays. Torino sits in 14th place with one win, one draw, and three losses, while Udinese is right behind them with the same number of points.

It will also be particularly exciting to see David Alaba, whom Udinese has signed as a free agent. The former Bayern Munich and Real Madrid star has been training with his new teammates for about a week and could make his debut on the roster on Monday.

When looking at the Torino FC vs. Udinese prediction, what stands out most is just how wild the “Zebrette’s” season has been so far. Runjaic certainly can’t be satisfied with eleven goals conceded in five games, but at the same time, Udinese has scored eight goals of their own—for a total of 19 goals already, or 3.8 per game.

The international break came at just the right time after three straight losses, although Udinese has little to be criticized for offensively—especially on the road. They scored three goals in each of their two away games, including a 3–5 loss to reigning champions Inter Milan. Given this, it might make sense to bet on another bold offensive performance from the Friulians. Two goals for last season’s 10th-place finisher are certainly conceivable.

On top of that, Torino has yet to put on a convincing performance at home in either Serie A or the Coppa Italia: They’ve lost all three home games this season, scoring just one goal in the process. The current Serie A statistics also paint a bleak picture for the Granata, who have scored just five goals in five league matches and have yet to keep a clean sheet. At home, they’re conceding an average of two goals per game.

Ahead of Torino FC’s match against Udinese, the odds on a Match Combo X2 with Over 1.5 goals are therefore quite appealing to me. This combination aligns with both Torino’s weak home performances so far and the visitors’ high-scoring away record.

Torino FC – Udinese Head-to-Head Record

The head-to-head record between Torino FC and Udinese is evenly matched over the past five meetings, with two wins each and one draw. However, the recent trend favors the “Zebrette”: Udinese won both away at the Stadio Olimpico 2-1 and at home 2-0 last season.

A clear pattern also emerges when looking at the goals scored, as nine of the last ten meetings have seen more than 1.5 goals scored. Given the Torino FC vs. Udinese betting odds, it might therefore be a sensible strategy to bet on both teams to score.

Torino FC vs. Udinese Prediction

After five matchdays, Torino and Udinese sit side by side in the lower mid-table of Serie A with four points each—both teams have secured just one win so far. While Torino hasn’t quite found its offensive rhythm yet, having scored only five goals, things are much more turbulent for Udinese.

Particularly striking is the away record of Kosta Runjaic’s team, which scored three goals in each of its two road games but also exposed its defensive weaknesses in the 3-5 loss to champions Inter Milan. Torino, on the other hand, has lost all three competitive matches at home so far, scoring only one goal in total.

My preferred Torino FC vs. Udinese pick is therefore the combination of X2 & Over 1.5 at odds of 2.25 at Betano, on which I’m betting three units. Udinese has shown significantly more offensive firepower on the road so far, while Torino has failed to deliver either results or convincing attacking performances at home.

“Both Teams to Score” is a good alternative. Given the visitors’ offensive strength, the odds of 2.85 on Runjaic’s team scoring at least two goals again are also attractive.
