Another Clean Sheet for the Gunners?

Czech-English Showdown in the Golden City! In my Slavia Prague vs. Arsenal prediction, the Gunners are, as expected, the clear favorites against the Czech champions, who are still waiting for their first win in the Champions League after three matchdays.

In my Slavia Prague vs. Arsenal forecast, I see few to no reasons to disagree with the bookmakers’ assessment. By the end of this match, the Premier League team is almost certain to secure the next three points. In my view, the gap in individual quality and team performance is simply too wide for a bet on the underdog to be worth it.

Personally, however, I’m not considering a bet on the underdog for this match. Instead, I’m focusing on which additional bets can boost the low odds for a favorite win.

Slavia Prague vs. Arsenal AI Prediction

Despite the low odds for a win, there’s value in betting on an away win for the Gunners, according to the Slavia Prague vs. Arsenal AI prediction. While Betano currently offers odds of 1.34 for an away win, the fair odds for this, according to the AI, should be around 1.29.

Furthermore, the Slavia Prague vs. Arsenal AI prediction calculates an xG value of only 0.63 for the hosts, which is fully in line with my analysis. Incidentally, there’s also value in betting that neither team will score, based on the bookmakers’ current odds. While the current odds at Betano for this are 1.80, the AI suggests they should be priced at just 1.75.

Slavia Prague – Statistics & Current Form

In recent years, the Sešívaní have been something like Bayern Munich in the Czech Republic. Over the past two seasons, Jindřich Trpišovský’s team has stood atop the Chance Liga podium; the last time another team—city rival Sparta Prague—secured the championship title in the Czech top flight was during the 2023–24 season.

This season, too, Trpišovský’s squad is once again leading the league by a comfortable margin, though they’ve recently suffered a few minor setbacks on the domestic front. And just how wide the performance gap is between the domestic league—which is relatively weaker by European standards—and Europe’s top competition was once again clearly demonstrated to Slavia Prague over the first three matchdays.

Another Rout for Slavia Prague?

After two losses to Lens and Azerbaijani underdog Sabah FK to start the campaign, they at least managed to earn their first point against Turkish powerhouse Fenerbahçe Istanbul on the last matchday. Anything other than a loss against the heavy favorites from England would be a huge surprise on this fourth matchday of the group stage.

Arsenal – Stats & Current Form

After three matchdays, the English champions remain undefeated in the Champions League and, not least for that reason, are once again among the competition’s top favorites this season. After all, following their loss in last season’s final, the mission for Mikel Arteta and his team is far from over.

Another shutout victory for the Gunners?

The fact that Arteta’s team has kept a clean sheet in two of their three Champions League matches so far is anything but a coincidence. During his tenure, the Spaniard has developed the Gunners into one of the strongest defensive teams in Europe. Furthermore, under his leadership, his team plays a tactically sophisticated, possession-oriented style of soccer. True to the motto: if we have the ball, the opponent can’t score.

The fact that the Gunners have over 55% possession this Champions League season speaks volumes about the style of play under Mikel Arteta, who once served as an assistant to Pep Guardiola and has incorporated many elements of the Spanish master coach’s philosophy into his own. Even in Munich, the English champions had more possession than the usually dominant Bayern.

Slavia Prague – Arsenal Head-to-Head Record

In their five previous meetings, the Gunners have remained unbeaten against the Czech champions. Three wins and two draws make up Arteta’s team’s record in these matchups. In the three matches played on Czech soil so far, the English champions have secured two wins and one draw.

Arsenal last visited the “Golden City” in November 2025, when the final score was 0–3 in favor of the visitors. Based on the Slavia Prague vs. Arsenal betting odds for this coming Wednesday, the bookies are expecting a similar result once again.

Slavia Prague – Arsenal Prediction

Yes, money alone doesn’t score goals, but the fact that the English team’s roster is worth ten times as much as the Czechs’ makes it clear who the favorite is at the Fortuna Arena this coming Wednesday. Arsenal conceded their first goals of this new Champions League season against Bayern Munich.

But of course, Bayern brings a whole different level of offensive quality to the table than the Gunners’ upcoming opponent. That’s why, in my Slavia Prague vs. Arsenal prediction, I expect that only one team will score again this time.

In addition to betting that the visitors will win to a clean sheet—which certainly carries a certain amount of risk—a bet on an Arsenal victory with only a few goals scored throughout the match is an interesting alternative. After all, I expect Arsenal to ultimately celebrate another pragmatic—though, as so often seen under Mikel Arteta, unspectacular—victory in the upcoming match.
