Another upset win for the underdog?

The home team from Florida only made it to the 2026 NBA Playoffs via the play-in tournament and a surprise win in the decisive game against Charlotte, but their strong performance so far against the best team from the regular season out of Motown shows that they fully deserve their spot in the postseason. We now have a tip ready for Game 4 between the Orlando Magic and the Detroit Pistons!

Orlando shocked the visitors with an away win to start the series, and after three games so far, the home team leads 2-1! With that in mind, for the matchup between the Orlando Magic and the Detroit Pistons, we’re predicting a home win or a loss for the hosts by no more than four points.

Furthermore, we believe Paolo Banchero will score more than 21.5 points. The guard has been on fire since the play-in tournament: In that do-or-die game, the 2022 draft’s “first pick” scored 25 points, and in the current series against the Pistons, he has surpassed the selected point total in two out of three games.

Another factor supporting this prediction is that Banchero already scored 24 points twice and 31 points once against the Pistons during the regular season. Furthermore, in our view, the Magic vs. Pistons total of 217 points could be a good bet. So far, the series has been dominated by defense. This is clearly evident from the fact that an average of only 204 points have been scored in the games!

Orlando Magic – Detroit Pistons Head-to-Head Record

The last matchup ended with a 113-105 home win for Orlando. Furthermore, the Magic can point to a generally positive record in recent home games against the “Pistons.” Eight of the past nine home games against the three-time NBA champions have ended in a victory for the franchise from the “Sunshine State.”

Nevertheless, the odds slightly favor the visitors in the upcoming matchup between the Orlando Magic and the Detroit Pistons.

Orlando Magic – Detroit Pistons Prediction

The visiting team from Little Caesars Arena, having finished first in the Eastern Conference during the regular season, actually entered the series against Orlando as the favorites. However, Detroit has not lived up to that status so far and currently trails 1-2.

The Magic can now rely on home-court advantage again: only one of their past nine home games against the Pistons ended in a loss for the hosts. Given this situation, we see sufficient value in the betting odds for Game 4 between the Orlando Magic and Detroit Pistons on the home team not losing by four or more points.
