Will FC Bayern host a championship party?

FC Bayern could mathematically clinch the championship as early as this weekend. For that to happen, the Munich side must earn more points in their home match against VfB Stuttgart than Borussia Dortmund does in their away match against TSG Hoffenheim on Saturday afternoon! Regardless, coach Vincent Kompany’s team needs to stay in the flow, even though Wednesday night’s cup match against Bayer 04 Leverkusen could potentially impact the Bayern vs. VfB Stuttgart matchup on Matchday 30 of the Bundesliga. At the end of the second of three consecutive midweek match weeks, the rotation policy on the Isar could come into play once again.

Although the Swabians also face a challenge in the DFB Cup semifinals next week, the away match at the Allianz Arena is of considerable importance for VfB. After all, valuable points are at stake in the race for a Champions League spot next season. However, when considering a Bayern vs. VfB Stuttgart prediction regarding a potential upset by the visitors, it must be noted that Deniz Undav, the most dangerous attacker on coach Sebastian Hoeneß’s team, will be suspended and unavailable.

Not least for this reason, the record champions are clear favorites, having famously dominated the first leg in Stuttgart and prevailed 5-0 (!). Sunday afternoon’s match is unlikely to be quite that one-sided. However, at least in terms of the number of goals, the chances are actually quite good that the second leg will follow the example of the first.

If you, too, want to place a bet on plenty of goals and are in for a bit of a shock upon checking the Bayern vs. VfB Stuttgart odds—realizing that it only becomes truly profitable in terms of odds once five goals are scored in the match—Bet-at-home has the perfect solution for you.

Bayern vs. VfB Stuttgart AI Prediction

The bookmakers’ assessment, as reflected in the betting odds, aligns with the artificial intelligence’s evaluation. Therefore, no significant value can be derived from the 1X2 market. Instead, the Bayern vs. VfB Stuttgart AI prediction targets Over 3.5 goals.

Bayern – Statistics & Current Form

Last week, FC Bayern broke yet another record. With their comfortable 5-0 away win at FC St. Pauli, they surpassed the previous record of 101 goals scored in a single Bundesliga season. The Munich side has actually scored a total of 105 goals—45 (!) more than their upcoming opponent from Stuttgart, who—along with BVB—curiously still boasts the second-best offense in the country. If you extrapolate the current average of 3.6 goals per game over 34 matchdays, the virtually certain champions from Säbener Straße would finish the Bundesliga season with 123 goals. Insane!

Despite rotation and multiple commitments: Another offensive fireworks display from Bayern?

Unsurprisingly, I’m therefore leaning toward taking the over-goal bets in the match between Bayern and VfB Stuttgart as well. In 97% of all FCB league games in 2025/26, for example, the over 2.5 would have come in. At home, such a bet would have paid off in every Bundesliga match. Since the Swabians naturally pose an offensive threat as well, and Munich’s back four will certainly feature a new face in one or two positions for the sake of managing the workload, at least three goals in the match are a foregone conclusion.

However, since the bookmakers, as mentioned, aren’t offering playable odds on the Over 2.5, my preferred approach would be to combine the Over bet with a Bayern home win. Across all competitions—the Bundesliga, the Champions League, and the DFB Cup—FCB has failed to win only two matches this season.

With the added knowledge that a win might be enough to clinch the championship in front of a home crowd, I don’t expect the club—currently by far the best in Germany—to slip up.

VfB Stuttgart – Stats & Current Form

Currently third in the table, VfB Stuttgart holds a four-point lead over fifth place and a five-point cushion over sixth. Compared to their direct rivals, however, the Swabians also face the relatively most challenging remaining schedule. Among other things, direct showdowns in Hoffenheim and at home against Leverkusen are on the schedule. Werder Bremen, fighting relegation, and the ambitious Europa League contender Eintracht Frankfurt are also still waiting. This makes it all the more important for Hoeneß’s squad to return from Munich with some points this weekend…

No Undav, no party at VfB Stuttgart?

One source of hope in this regard is the fact that VfB has now scored at least once in 18 consecutive Bundesliga away games. Never before has a Stuttgart team scored as many away goals in a Bundesliga season as Undav, Stiller, Führich, and Co. In Europe’s top five leagues, only FC Bayern has scored more away goals.

Bayern – VfB Stuttgart Head-to-Head Record

In the history of the Bundesliga, no other club has celebrated more victories against FC Bayern than VfB Stuttgart. In a total of 113 meetings, the Swabians have come out on top a strong 72 times. Admittedly, however, the bulk of these successes date back many decades. Recently, the Munich side has dominated this matchup. Only one of the last 13 Bundesliga duels was lost from the FCB’s perspective (10-2-1). Bayern are also unbeaten at home in their last six competitive matches against VfB.

The first leg ended 5-0 in favor of the record champions, although four of the five goals didn’t come until the 66th minute. It’s not out of the question that the league leaders will come out firing this time and score at least twice before halftime. A bet on Bayern to score over 1.5 goals (1st half) against VfB Stuttgart offers odds of a whopping 2.57.

Bayern – VfB Stuttgart Prediction

After their dramatic advancement in the UEFA Champions League against Real Madrid, Bayern don’t have much time to catch their breath. They’re back in action as early as Sunday with a top-of-the-table clash in the Bundesliga, before the DFB Cup semifinal on Wednesday. Given this abundance of challenges, there are strong indications that Vincent Kompany will make changes to his lineup in several positions this weekend. However, automatically equating this situation with the idea that Stuttgart can pick up points at the Allianz Arena would be far too risky, considering the recent performances of the seemingly unbeatable FCB.

I believe—regardless of the lineup—that Munich will once again leave the field as winners. My strategy for the Bayern vs. VfB Stuttgart match would therefore be to combine a bet on the home win with Over 2.5 goals. Bet-at-home is offering odds of 1.65, which I’m betting on with six fictional units.
