Will Juve’s injury-plagued offense come up against a wall?
Our Celta Vigo vs. Juventus tip is shaped by the fact that the Zebre still can’t seem to find their stride in Serie A in the 2026–27 season. After just six matchdays, during which they’ve scored only nine goals, they’re already five points behind first place. The record champions are in danger of once again becoming mere bystanders in the title race, at the latest following last Sunday’s sobering 1-1 draw at Cagliari Calcio. At least in the Europa League, however, the Zebre vented a lot of frustration on the first matchday, defeating NEC Nijmegen 5-0.
Now, however, the Bianconeri must travel to Galicia, where they suffered a humiliating 0-4 defeat over 26 years ago. In our assessment, there isn’t much to suggest a Celta Vigo vs. Juventus prediction favoring an away win for the Zebre, who will arrive at Balaídos without their attacking players Kenan Yildiz, Manuel Locatelli, Khephren Thuram, Jeremie Boga, and Jeff Ekhator. Nick Woltemade once again looked out of place up front during the away game in Sardinia, and the Celestes, having conceded just six goals in eight league games, boast the strongest defense in all of La Liga.
However, automatically betting on the Célticos to earn a point would also be very risky, as the Spanish side is struggling offensively, as evidenced by their mere eight goals in eight league games. Most scenarios can therefore be covered by betting on under 2.5 goals.
The question of whether star striker Iago Aspas will be ready remains intriguing. Now 39 years old, he once watched Celta’s historic 4-0 victory over Juventus in the UEFA Cup from the stands as a 12-year-old and may now have the chance to face the Italian record champions himself in his final professional season. At the very least, his comeback from a muscle injury was explicitly geared toward this Europa League match. Over the weekend, he was sorely missed again in the dismal 0–0 draw against Elche.
Meanwhile, the Celestes’ defense is expected to remain unchanged, which in turn should ensure that Juve doesn’t put on a goal-scoring spree at Balaídos. Therefore, it’s also a solid bet that the Vecchia Signora will score fewer than 1.5 goals.
Celta Vigo – Juventus Head-to-Head Record
Head-to-Head: 1 – 0 – 1
In the 1999–2000 season, the two teams faced off in the round of 16 of the UEFA Cup, the predecessor to the Europa League. After Juventus Turin initially won the first leg 1–0 and thought they already had one foot in the quarterfinals, Celta Vigo’s moment came in the second leg. The Galicians dismantled the Vecchia Signora—then coached by Carlo Ancelotti—with a 4–0 victory. More than 26 years later, the two teams are set to meet again.

Celta Vigo – Juventus Prediction
Once again, the lack of offensive punch was the main issue. However, that lack of punch was mostly the result of a very defensive style of play, which has helped the Galicians boast the league’s best defense in La Liga, having conceded only six goals in eight league games. This could very well take the wind out of the sails of a struggling Vecchia Signora, which has to compensate for several absences on offense.
Nevertheless, we wouldn’t rule out anything from a 1-0 home win to a scoreless draw or even a narrow away victory for the Bianconeri. In any case, however, we expect a tactical, rather tough, and low-scoring match. Our recommendation is therefore for under 2.5 goals in the match.
