Will Leeds secure their Premier League status?

Although Coach Daniel Farke’s men already have 40 points—which is usually enough to avoid relegation—the “Peacocks” aren’t mathematically safe yet. Given this, a prediction of a home win by at least two goals seems like a solid bet for the match between Leeds and Burnley.

In addition, Burnley is looking to win both league matches against Leeds in a single season for the third time in club history; so far, this has only been achieved in the 1926/27 and 2013/14 seasons.
However, the odds for the next clash between Leeds and Burnley clearly favor a home win.

The clash between the two promoted sides is likely to take a break soon. The visitors face an immediate return to the English lower division, while the hosts are expected to stay up.
Leeds’ consistent form also supports this outlook. Although their dream of a title this season ended last weekend with a loss to Chelsea in the FA Cup semifinals, United is currently performing steadily in league play. Farke’s side has been unbeaten for five matches (2-3-0), and the home team has kept a clean sheet three times.
Given this situation, we’re betting on a home win by at least two goals in the match between Leeds and Burnley. This prediction is supported by the Clarets’ chronically weak defense. No other team in the Premier League has conceded more away goals this season, and their last three away matches have all ended in defeats by a margin of at least two goals!
Furthermore, Leeds has been very successful so far against teams that have already been relegated. This will be United’s sixth such match in the Premier League. Leeds won all five of the previous ones, with an impressive goal difference of 18:3.
