Will City extend their lead in the title race?

In the rescheduled match from Matchday 31 of the Premier League, Manchester City hosts Crystal Palace at their home ground, the Etihad Stadium. After Arsenal narrowly escaped with a 1-0 win over West Ham on Sunday night, it’s now up to Guardiola’s side to do their part. They currently trail the Gunners by five points and can close the gap to just two points with a win. Crystal Palace, meanwhile, sits in 14th place with 44 points.

In front of their home crowd, the Cityzens have often looked strong right from the start. Since November 2025, they have won the first half in 11 of their 13 PL home games—failing to do so only in the last two. In our Manchester City vs. Crystal Palace tip, we’re banking on their traditional strength and betting on a City win in the first half.

Manchester City heads into the clash against Crystal Palace on the back of a strong run. The Sky Blues are unbeaten in their last eight Premier League matches against the Eagles, winning five of those games. The team has been particularly solid at the Etihad: following their opening-day loss to Tottenham, City has remained unbeaten in their last 16 home games, scoring the first goal in each of those matches. Their dominance in the first halves is also striking—with 38 goals, City leads the league in that category, while at the same time, no team has conceded fewer goals before halftime.

Offensively, Erling Haaland remains the decisive factor. The Norwegian has scored in all five Premier League matches against Crystal Palace and has already tallied eight goals against the Eagles. Jérémy Doku is also in top form right now and has been directly involved in seven goals in his last six competitive matches. For a bit more value, we’re therefore betting on the Belgian to score in our Manchester City vs. Crystal Palace prediction.

Crystal Palace, however, travels to Manchester with plenty of confidence. The Eagles are among the strongest away teams in the league and have already secured seven away wins—only Arsenal and Manchester City themselves have more. Additionally, Palace has scored exactly two goals in each of their last four Premier League away matches at City.

Ismaïla Sarr is currently particularly impressive on offense, having scored nine goals in his last ten starts and now sitting at 20 goals for the season—the best tally by a Palace player since Glenn Murray in 2012/13. Jean-Philippe Mateta is also on the verge of a special milestone: the Frenchman needs just one more goal to reach his 50th Premier League goal for Crystal Palace. However, Mateta scores the majority of his goals at Selhurst Park, as only two of his eleven league goals this season have come on the road.

Manchester City – Crystal Palace Head-to-Head Record

The head-to-head record clearly favors Manchester City. In a total of 57 matches, the Sky Blues have secured 32 wins, while Crystal Palace has managed only twelve victories. Another 13 encounters ended in draws. The goal difference also heavily favors Manchester City at 108:52.

Manchester City – Crystal Palace Prediction

It comes as little surprise that the betting odds from bookmakers licensed in Germany are so heavily in favor of the home team for the Manchester City vs. Crystal Palace match.

The Sky Blues are unbeaten in their last eight Premier League matches against the Eagles, winning five of those games. On top of that, the Cityzens are an absolute force at home and have also remained unbeaten in their last 16 Premier League home games.

However, Crystal Palace should not be underestimated, as the Eagles have scored at least two goals in six of their last seven away matches at Man City. Statistically, they are among the best away teams in the league, even though they have lost three of their last four away matches.
