Will the Hütteldorf team continue their winning streak?

Talk of a perfect start to the season is in the air for the SK Rapid vs. Paide match. At home, the Green-Whites are on track for their seventh win in seven competitive matches. To make the most of a single bet on “SK Rapid to Win,” special offers—such as enhanced odds—can help.

Apart from champions and league leaders LASK, the Hütteldorf side is the only Austrian Bundesliga team that hasn’t dropped any points in domestic competition yet. Across all competitions, however, their clean slate has already been tarnished several times. Defensively, the Green-Whites aren’t consistently solid, even in our SK Rapid vs. Paide prediction.

Furthermore, the defense continues to struggle to maintain a solid performance over the full 90 minutes. Although Johannes Hoff Thorup’s squad ultimately won the first leg of the third qualifying round quite convincingly (4–1), the Viennese conceded scoring chances equivalent to 1.67 expected goals.

That’s too many, especially when we recall the SK Rapid vs. Paide betting odds from that time. Last weekend’s match against SV Ried (2–1) confirmed the vulnerability of Rapid’s back line. The Greens have now conceded at least 1.43 expected goals in three consecutive competitive matches.

So far, however, the “Greens” fans have been able to consistently rely on their own offense. SK Rapid has scored at least two goals in five of the six competitive matches they’ve played. Four of those six matches even ended with Rapid scoring three or more goals.

SK Rapid – Paide Head-to-Head Record

In the first leg, Rapid managed 22 shots, generated 3.02 expected goals, and secured a comfortable lead thanks to late goals. The Estonian side, however, also posed a scoring threat, firing off eight shots of their own.

Daniel Luts scored the Blue-and-Reds’ only goal. The right winger even managed to equalize temporarily amid the scramble following a corner kick. Head coach Tarmo Kink and his players will surely still believe in their underdog chances in Vienna and go on the hunt for goals.

SK Rapid – Paide Prediction

Actually, from the hosts’ perspective, there shouldn’t be much left to worry about in the second matchup between SK Rapid and Paide. The sooner the home team learns to capitalize on their individual strengths, the more relaxed the Green-Whites can approach the game.

Those few percentage points could help the visitors score a goal of their own—maybe even more. We don’t see a major comeback by the Estonian teams on the horizon. The Hütteldorf side’s form and attacking play are simply too solid at this early stage of the season.

We consider a home win, in which both teams celebrate goals in their respective stands, to be a realistic scenario. We believe SK Rapid is capable of scoring multiple goals once again and extending their winning streak to a competition-leading seven consecutive victories.
