Will the Turks perform better in Seville?

In the first leg on September 7, 2025, the Turkish national soccer team was completely crushed 6-0 by the Furia Roja in front of their home crowd in Konya. The Ay-Yildizlilar were able to win all four other qualifying games with ease. However, because the Spanish team also took all six points against Georgia and Bulgaria, the reigning European champions lead Group E by three points. If Spain beat Turkey by at least seven goals, the visitors would still overtake the Iberians.

Of course, this is not really realistic, which is why there is not really anything at stake in this game. So far, the Furia Roja has not conceded a single goal. Although the Turks will bring their offensive power to Andalusia, it would take a lot for the game to actually become exciting again. Nevertheless, the Ay-Yildizlilar will certainly want to avenge the humiliation of the first leg and strive for a good result in Seville. Because we expect the home side to rotate their squad again, it makes sense to apply a handicap of +2.0 (Asian) to the Turks, which covers not only any points won but also narrow home wins for the Iberians.

Alternatively, you could bet that the Spanish national soccer team will concede at least one goal for the first time in Group E after five clean sheets in a row. After all, we don’t expect the Ay-Yildizlilar, who scored 15 goals in World Cup qualifying, to park the bus in their own penalty area in Seville. Instead, Vincenzo Montella’s team is likely to give it their all once again.

Spain – Turkey Head-to-head record

Head to head: 6 – 4 – 1

Eleven international matches have been played between the two nations so far, and with six wins, the Spanish national team leads the head-to-head record very clearly. Most recently, it was a very one-sided affair against Turkey, who were not only crushed 3-0 in the preliminary round of EURO 2016, but also put in their place with a 6-0 defeat in the first leg away from home. The only defeat against the Ay-Yildizlilar dates back to March 14, 1954.

Spain – Turkey Tip

With a three-point lead and a 14-goal difference, the outcome of Group E seems to be a foregone conclusion. The Furia Roja could afford a home defeat by up to six goals and still qualify for the World Cup, but that would obviously not be in the interests of the reigning European champions, who have yet to concede a goal. The Iberians would prefer to win their final group game without conceding a goal. However, the Ay-Yildizlilar, who have already secured their place in the playoffs, will also have a say in the matter and would like to make a small statement after losing the first leg in Konya 6-0.

Basically, we would not categorically rule out a point for the Ay-Yildizlilar in Spain vs. Turkey, especially since Luis de la Fuente has the opportunity to rotate his squad. Defensively, three regulars, Carvajal, Le Normand, and Huijsen, are unavailable, which is why we consider an away goal for the Turks to be very realistic.

Most eventualities can be covered with an Asian handicap of +2.0 on the visitors. The betting odds for Spain vs. Turkey are 1.64, which we are betting on at Bet365 with four out of ten units.
