How will PSG compensate for the Bayern defeat?
The French champions from Paris suffered only their second defeat of the season against Bayern on the last Champions League matchday – their first home defeat ever. Otherwise, PSG has been very strong in the Champions League, winning all three of its remaining games and scoring 14 goals. They scored in both halves of each of their remaining three CL matches – and in five of their last seven home games. Our PSG vs. Tottenham tip is therefore once again for the capital club to score in both halves.
The French record champions are now fifth in the table with nine points after four CL matchdays. Things are also going well in Ligue 1 at home – four of the last five games have been won, the last three in a row. This puts them in first place in the league with 30 points after 13 matchdays, closely followed by Marseille with 28 points – who even have a better goal difference than the champions and cup winners (+21 compared to +16).
Tottenham are performing solidly on the international stage and are still unbeaten after the first four matchdays. They have recorded two wins and two draws, with both draws coming away from home. Recently, however, there has been a dip in the Spurs’ away form – after eight unbeaten games on the road, they have suffered two defeats in their last two matches.

PSG – Statistics & current form
Paris SG is in strong form in the current Champions League season, continuing its convincing performances of recent months. The team is particularly difficult to beat at the Parc des Princes: in its last six home games against English opponents, for example, it has suffered only one defeat, a 0-1 loss to Liverpool in March 2025 in the round of 16.
In the group stage of Europe’s premier club competition, Paris won six of its last seven games, scoring an average of 3.6 goals per game. Only the defeat to Bayern Munich three weeks ago interrupted this run.
PSG scores with youth
Paris SG has enormous offensive power, which is also reflected in the statistics. With 41 line-breaking passes leading to shots on goal, PSG is just behind Real Madrid. At the same time, the team is characterized by an extraordinary youth movement: 13 of the 52 Champions League goals since the start of last season have been scored by players aged 21 or younger – at least five more than any other team in Europe.
In addition, the full-backs have a significant impact on the game. Nuno Mendes and Achraf Hakimi were involved in seven goal-scoring sequences in the first four rounds, making them the most active full-backs in the entire preliminary round. This breadth and variability make Paris SG one of the most dangerous home teams in the competition. However, Hakimi will be out with injury this week, as will offensive stars Doué and Dembele.

Tottenham – Statistics & current form
Tottenham travels to Paris with impressive defensive stability. The Spurs are unbeaten in five Champions League games, with two wins and three draws. Four clean sheets underline this defensive strength. The last time they had a longer unbeaten run was between October 2018 and April 2019, when Tottenham went seven games without defeat. For another unbeaten game, you can pick up PSG vs. Tottenham double chance odds of 2.90 on the visitors.
In all European competitions combined, Spurs even set the best record of any team in the 2025 calendar year with seven clean sheets in 13 games. Particularly noteworthy is the fourth matchday against FC Copenhagen, when Tottenham conceded only 0.35 expected goals – the lowest figure in a Champions League game for Spurs since the 0.10 against Borussia Dortmund in February 2019. Contrary to the PSG vs. Tottenham betting odds, you could also bet here that not both teams will score.
Tottenham lacks a goal scorer
Tottenham’s overall record against French teams also speaks in their favor. In their last 13 European matches against opponents from France, they have lost only twice, winning six and drawing five. Most recently, Spurs played Monaco to a 0-0 draw.
However, there are problems in the creative department: only nine line-breaking passes have led to a shot on goal in this Champions League season – only Pafos had fewer. The fact that center back Micky van de Ven is currently the Spurs’ top scorer in the Champions League with two goals shows the lack of firepower in the offense. Nevertheless, thanks to their defensive stability, strong international run and high tactical discipline, Tottenham remain an extremely difficult opponent who are likely to pose considerable challenges for Paris.

PSG – Tottenham Head-to-head record
There has only been one competitive match between the two sides at international level. That was at the start of the season in the UEFA Super Cup, which ended 2-2 after regular time. In the end, PSG prevailed 4-3 on penalties to win the trophy. However, Tottenham led 2-0 at one point, proving that they are more than capable of causing an upset against the Champions League winners.
PSG – Tottenham Tip
Paris SG won three of their four Champions League games and have lost only twice in 18 games this season. They are also very solid at home at the Parc des Princes, losing only once in their last six home games against English opponents. In addition, they have lost only one and won six of their nine home games in all competitions. In the Champions League group stage, Enrique’s team won six of their last seven games and scored 3.6 goals per game.
Tottenham, on the other hand, are still unbeaten in the Champions League – but have only managed two draws in both away games. However, the Spurs have been strong defensively, conceding only two goals in the current competition – both against Bodo/Glimt. In all European competitions combined, the Londoners have even set the best record of all teams in the 2025 calendar year with seven clean sheets in 13 games.
